Dishwasher / Bus Person - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Seasonal

We are seeking a Dishwasher/Bus Person for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

The right Dishwasher/Bus Person checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

This position exists to provide prompt, courteous service in keeping the dining and kitchen areas neat, clean, and in order.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, storage areas, dining room, and the dish washing station.

• Empty trash and clean the trash containers, sweep, mop, organize, and stock.

• Load and unload dish machine, and scrub pots and pans.

• Ensure dish machine is working properly and dishes, silver, pots and pans are clean.

• Provide courteous service in keeping the guests' dining areas neat, clean, and in order. (Dining areas include drink stations, condiment stations, and any table or counter space used for eating on or serving food from).

• Bus tables, wipe off and sanitize tables and counters, stock dishes, dry goods, etc., empty trash and cleaning the trash containers, sweep, mop, organize, and stock.

• Greet each guest in a friendly manner

• Provide continuous service and attention to detail.

• Clear away dirty dishes, glasses, serving dishes, and eating utensils in a timely manner.

• Remove and throw away disposable products such as paper cups, plates, containers, condiment wrappers, napkins, straws, plastic utensils, etc.

• Be aware of the location of equipment of any kind to avoid accidents with bus carts, tray jacks, cleaning equipment, fallen food, liquid, or trash.

• Be available and willing to work at different locations on Park.

• Be able to answer guest questions.

• Understand and practice safe food handling at all times, following Sevier County Regulations and ServSafe guidelines.

• Be an active participant in safety issues relating to personal safety and the safety of fellow hosts and guests.

• Follow all procedures/standards affecting Foods financial standing such as clocking in/out properly, completion of tasks in a timely and accurate manner and not wasting supplies.

• Able to display and live out our Lead with Love principles strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, and dedicated.

• Able to sweep and mop.

• Able to make decisions by analyzing information allowing on-the-spot correction of guests concerns.

• Able to tolerate extreme heat, extreme cold, and humidity necessary to work in kitchens, walk-ins, freezers, climate changes and be able to work outdoors.

• Ability to tolerate approved Ecolab detergents and chemicals necessary clean/sanitize equipment and environment.

• Able to handle a fast pace, hectic environment due to accommodating a large number of guests at one time, changes in work schedule and job assignments.

• Able to lift 30 pounds with or without 2 person lift. 30+ pounds require a 2 person lift.

• Must take Start Fresh training, as well as implement all safety aspects of Start Fresh training

• Able to work and tolerate temperatures ranging from 0 to 120 degrees.

• Must comply with all Health Dept., Serv Safe, and Company regulations pertaining to Food Safety Handling Procedures.

Education and Experience Required

• Must be at least 16 years old.

• Previous food service experience of at least 6 months preferred.

• Must be able to successfully pass post-offer background check and drug screening.
