What will you do in this role:

• Wash dishes as needed

• Daily cleaning and deep cleaning duties

• Take trash out as needed

• Breakdown dish machine, clean floor mats, and other kitchen closing duties

• Sweep and mop floors, including dish area, prep areas, dry storage, walk-in, and hallway

• Clean and organize mop sink and chemicals

• Assist with meal prep work

• Putting away and rotating stock

• Check paper towel dispensers and fill as needed

• Clean and polish kitchen equipment, storage areas, walls and floors

• Provide additional cleaning as requested by Executive Chef or Sous Chef

You have:

• Must be able to follow directions written and spoken in English

• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Must adhere to all policies and procedures for Balfour Senior Living and the dining service department

• Must be able and willing to help out within the entire department when we are shorthanded. This may include switching positions when asked to do so by your supervisor

SHIFT: Shifts available Mon-Sat (afternoon & evening schedule only, must close at 7:30p)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted

• Ability to push/pull 50 lbs. of resistance

• Ability to stand, and/or walk for duration of shift

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed

• May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens

• Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander
