What you will be doing:

As a permanent Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) 1, located within the Section of Epidemiology, you will provide a wide range of disease control and prevention services statewide, including consultation with health care providers and direct services to persons exposed to and infected with HIV/STIs or other infectious diseases. These services include exposure notification, testing and field treatment, and linkage to other services as needed.

You will be joining a dedicated group of staff members in the HIV/STD Program and the Section of Epidemiology. This position includes collaboration with public, private, military providers, and key partners across the state to reduce health disparities and to help all individuals have equity in access to health care for HIV/ STD.

This position is located on the 5th floor of the Frontier building (3601 C St. Anchorage, AK 99503) in the heart of mid-town Anchorage; situated with views of the Chugach Range, Denali, and the Cook Inlet.
