The Disaster Recovery Analyst is responsible for separate, yet integrated, functions designed to accomplish contingency planning goals on a firm-wide basis: DR Plan Development, DR Plan Maintenance, and DR Plan Coordination. This individual will manage the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans, while managing disaster recovery and incident response for a multi-site environment. The DR Analyst will work as part of a collaborative team to support recovery programs and leverage site strategies. This individual will be responsible for communicating with senior management across multiple agencies.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Provide leadership to coordinate, assess, develop & communicate technical environment recovery requirements and contingency plans.
Map critical business services to disaster recovery/technical requirements.
Document risks associated with an application or business service outage, along with risk associated with sustainability of an IT environment.
Research and document business impacts related to a service outage.
Research and develop a Business Impact Analysis based on a series of threats that align to the customer's environment.
Research and document legal, operational and regulatory (IRS-1075, CJIS, PII, and PCI) requirements.
Document network, database, and hardware infrastructure associated with an application.
Created DR plans to deliver fail-over capacity of critical functions, servers, application and networks.
Generate standardized recovery plans, including process and procedural standards to address Recovery Time Objectives/Recovery Point Objectives, network backup, redundancy, and recovery.
Determine critical business processes and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
Recommend systems backup processes and recovery procedures to ensure DR recoverability.
Ability to understand client requirements, concerns and issues for the development of appropriate plans.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution a plus or equivalent work experience.
Experience in IT administration working with active directory, windows servers, and related programs or combination of education and relevant experience acceptable.

Excellent knowledge of common software programs such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.

Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels across the state.
Strong decision making and organizational skills.
High degree of professionalism and personal awareness.
In and out of state travel may be required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license with proof of insurance.
Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and Criminal Justice Security (CJIS) as performed by the KBI.
PMP certification, ITIL certification, or experience with SunGard Assurance is a plus but not a requirement.
Compensation: Salary range $55,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.
