Job Description:

The Disaster Recovery Analyst is responsible for separate, yet integrated, functions designed to accomplish contingency planning goals on a firm-wide basis: DR Plan Development, DR Plan Maintenance, and DR Plan Coordination. This individual will manage the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans, while managing disaster recovery and incident response for a multi-site environment. The DR Analyst will work as part of a collaborative team to support recovery programs and leverage site strategies. This individual will be responsible for communicating with senior management across multiple agencies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to coordinate, assess, develop & communicate technical environment recovery requirements and contingency plans.

  • Map critical business services to disaster recovery/technical requirements.

  • Document risks associated with an application or business service outage, along with risk associated with sustainability of an IT environment.

  • Research and document business impacts related to a service outage.

  • Research and develop a Business Impact Analysis based on a series of threats that align to the customer's environment.

  • Research and document legal, operational and regulatory (IRS-1075, CJIS, PII, and PCI) requirements.

  • Document network, database, and hardware infrastructure associated with an application.

  • Created DR plans to deliver fail-over capacity of critical functions, servers, application and networks.

  • Generate standardized recovery plans, including process and procedural standards to address Recovery Time Objectives/Recovery Point Objectives, network backup, redundancy, and recovery.

  • Determine critical business processes and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.

  • Recommend systems backup processes and recovery procedures to ensure DR recoverability.

  • Ability to understand client requirements, concerns and issues for the development of appropriate plans.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution a plus or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience in IT administration working with active directory, windows servers, and related programs or combination of education and relevant experience acceptable.

  • Operations and management knowledge, but not detailed technical skills, of

  • Data communication networks

  • Databases

  • Data storage and backup

  • Server platforms, including both physical and virtual servers

  • Voice and data telecommunications

  • Excellent knowledge of common software programs such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills for networking, interviews, presentations, vendor negotiations, and teammate interactions.

  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels across the state.

  • Strong decision making and organizational skills.

  • High degree of professionalism and personal awareness.

  • In and out of state travel may be required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license with proof of insurance.

  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and Criminal Justice Security (CJIS) as performed by the KBI.

  • PMP certification, ITIL certification, or experience with SunGard Assurance is a plus but not a requirement.

Compensation: Salary range $55,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.

This position is unclassified, full time with benefits. Position is open until filled.

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 Job Description: The Office of Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Statewide Payroll and Collections section's primary responsibilities include operating and maintaining the State of Kansas statewide central payroll, the State of Kansas debt setoff system, and the Kansas Treasury Offset Program (KTOP). The Business System Analyst position will perform specialized business system application work in operations and development of an integrated and complex statewide payroll and human resource business application and related interfaces. This position is responsible for providing business system support in the Payroll Systems Team, for the development, testing, and implementation of all new software applications for statewide business applications including the Statewide Human Resources and Payroll (SHARP) system, integration to the Statewide Management Accounting and Reporting Tool (SMART) system and external/third-party systems. In addition, this position includes responsibility for the daily operations and system outputs required to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. This Business System Analyst position supports the Statewide Human Resources and Payroll (SHARP) system and is responsible for on-going updates, maintenance, enhancements and implementation of legislative changes to ensure accurate payroll and reporting for all State of Kansas employees. The SHARP system is scheduled to complete an upgrade from Oracle/PeopleSoft HCM/Time and Labor version 9.2.25 during FY19 and this position will play a key role in completing testing of the identified changes for the upgrade as well as assisting with the preparation of training materials. In addition, this position will maintain responsibility for completing the on-going, day-to-day work required to ensure stability, accuracy, and efficiency of the payroll processes including escalation of operational issues and providing recommendations for issue resolution. In addition to Statewide Payroll and Debt Setoff/KTOP, the OFCO Team is assigned the oversight and audit function to assure compliance with State laws, policies, regulations, accounting procedures, and purchasing policies. The Office also is responsible for providing guidance to Kansas municipalities on budgeting, accounting and reporting issues and statutory requirements and for receiving and reviewing municipal budgets and audits. Additionally, the Chief Financial Officer is charged with implementation of a program for Internal Control and Systems Audit.
