Providence is calling a Director of Women's Services (Full Time) to Providence Health Care Region in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Responsible for the development of clinical services in the Service Area in coordination with the PHC Senior Executive Team.

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for service area and outreach to the Service Area and potentially beyond.

  • Oversees the operational and programmatic performance of maternity services for PHC campuses.

  • Collaborate with Providence Medical Group and other non-employed physicians to develop systems of care for Women's programs.

  • Engage physician leadership in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of program goals and objectives across the integrated system and with key physician groups in the market.

  • Participates with the community through leadership servitude in the context of furthering the health of women in our area.

  • Create and engage high performing teams around key initiatives without direct line authority for staff.

  • Identify strategic philanthropic priorities and partners with PHC Foundation to achieve targeted goals.

  • Collaboration with related specialties in pediatric areas (i.e. NICU).

  • Collaborate with related specialties to integrate and collaborate with other established service lines including cardiac, oncology, orthopedics, etc.

  • Partners with dyad partner, facilitating effective operationalization of the plan for all ministries and institutions involved with PHC.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree on Health Care, Business, Economics or related field.

  • 7-10 years of management or administrative experience in health care, preferably in an integrated health delivery network and have in depth knowledge of healthcare business operations specific to Women's Services.

  • Women's health services experience.

  • Effective Decision-Making.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree on Relevant discipline

Provides supplies such as oil and fuel. Furnishes technical information and prepares specifications for vehicle purchases. Maintains a preventative maintenance program for motorized equipment, and makes required major and minor repairs. POSITION PURPOSE Manage and direct the Fleet Services Department. Position is responsible for strategically planning for the future needs of the department and for the needs of its customers. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Work has a substantial amount of independence providing supervision to direct and indirect reports in professional, administrative, and technical positions. Examples of Work The following Responsibilities and Requirements are functions the individual who holds or desires the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyze customer's equipment needs and advise on suitability and alternative methods using cost and usage factors; * Write or direct the preparation of comprehensive management reports, including both operating and performance measures; * Perform contract administration duties to include negotiations and recommendations of contract terms, evaluate performance and ensure compliance to warranty and contract agreements; * Ensure current and new employees receive the proper ongoing technical training necessary for supporting quality services, repair and maintenance of city owned vehicles and equipment; * Develop current and long range plans to replace and retire equipment and vehicles in an efficient and cost effective manner; * Provide oversite to and analysis of data generated by the Fleet Information Management System (FIMS). REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of: * Fleet management and operations * Principals of supervision, training, and performance feedback; * Federal and State laws, City Ordinance, and Municipal Codes as they relate to City and fleet services operations; * Fiscal budgeting process Ability to: * Meet deadlines and work under pressure; * Work cooperatively with others and maintain positive relationships; * Adapt to other duties as assigned and prioritize, organize, and plan work as needed to meet objectives; * Effectively represent the department in meetings by expressing complex business, financial, and regulatory concepts in clear and concise language for internal and external stakeholders where areas of contention may arise Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination equivalent to the experience and education that would likely provide the relevant knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. Generally this will include: Six (6) years of responsible experience in medium to large scale fleet operations, including five (5) years of strong proven leadership skills in a supervisory and administrative capacity, AND, a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration or a related filed. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is conducted in both an office setting and on the service floor. It involves frequent attendance at meetings to include some irregular hours and potentially out-of-town travel. Incumbents in this classification are expected to communicate verbally, in person, and by telephone. A computer terminal is used and requires the use of repetitive arm movements.
