The Director of West Coast Sales is one of Greentanks most coveted and important roles. Responsible for being the market expert in the most demanding US territory and driving direct revenue growth while structuring a first class West Coast Sales Team.


  • Front line business-to-business sales
  • Drive new and existing points of sales distribution and visibility for suitable growth
  • Establishing expertise concerning the features and functionality of vaporization hardware and overall business
  • Hire, train, and manage Greentanks West Coast Sales Team as determined by business need and at the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer
  • Meet company and individual sales-specific goals and objectives
  • Train producers and cultivators in product knowledge, customization options, quality standards and SOPs
  • Deepen existing business relationships by continuing to increase client satisfaction with on-site visits and entertainment
  • Evaluate customer needs, understand market drivers and forces, and work with sales leadership to ensure appropriate service/product delivery and pricing
  • Act as a brand ambassador and attend trade shows as needed
  • Advise and implement overall West Coast sales strategy


  • University degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Seven to Ten years of sales experience, two of which being in the Cannabis Industry
  • Desire to work in a win as a team sales environment
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • Self-driven and proactive nature
  • Experience in process creation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient and active listener
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities

This position is located in California (ideally in Los Angeles, or San Diego). The primary responsibilities is to build a book of business and represent Ryan in the marketplace and is either the Client Principal" or the "Engagement Principal" on tax engagements. Duties and Responsibilities: Ultimately, the Client Principal is responsible for the client relationship, including, but not limited to, the following: * Driving client service. * Expanding client relationship into additional engagements and service lines. * Overseeing and approving client fee arrangements for all engagements within assigned country. * Ensuring client update meetings occur timely, regardless of who coordinates these meetings. * Leading client update meetings and other appropriate client meetings. * Inviting individuals from other practices to attend meetings and introducing practice, as appropriate. * Ensuring non-engagement-related action items are completed in a timely manner. * Monitoring revenue forecasts for material omissions. * Ultimately responsible for collecting client invoices. Ultimately, the Engagement Principal is responsible for specific engagement performance, including, but not limited to, the following: * Driving client service. * Maintaining active involvement in engagement throughout the duration. * Ensuring policy compliance, in all respects, including Client Service Principles. * Reviewing technical deliverables prior to submission to client and outside parties, including taxing authorities. * Reviewing/monitoring and providing sign off, indicating your thorough review, on milestones within engagement workplan. * Signing filings * Ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in performance of service. * Ensuring engagement is progressing in a timely manner and that all deadlines are calendared and met. * Attending kick-off, client update, and all other appropriate client meetings. * Ensuring engagement-related action items are completed in a timely manner. * Confirming additional internal resources are utilized when applicable (e.g., Advocacy, Data Extraction, Sampling). * Actively assisting in addressing client service barriers. * Performing a detailed review of the revenue forecast to ensure accuracy of forecast, potential fees, and fee timing. Comparing FACT entries to Summary of Savings. * Updating Ryan's accounts receivable management application. * Verifying the Revenue Recognized month/year field in Ryan's accounts receivable management application reflects the correct month in which you want the revenue posted and is the same as the date and amount reflected in FACT. * Assisting Client Principal with collection of delinquent client invoices. * Confirming CRM Survey Contacts, in accordance with the Client Service Evaluation policy Education and Experience: Candidates for this position will have a track record of demonstrated commitment and success in client satisfaction, retention and penetration. The candidate will have a reputation among peers of high technical expertise in their chosen discipline, noted success in dealing with executive-level clients and governmental agencies and proficiency in project management. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
