Director, Voluntary Product Management
The responsibilities of this position include development and subsequent management of Employee Benefits' voluntary products, and related value add programs. Key activities include developing effective relationships across the Employee Benefits organization with Actuarial, Marketing, Operations, Distribution, Pricing and Underwriting Teams; as well as with external vendors and other partners. The individual in this role will be expected to provide guidance and management of the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, from market research through full product onboarding, and will collaborate extensively across the organization.
7+ years of experience with employee benefit products, with the majority of that experienced dedicated to management of and/or direct work with group products such as critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, supplemental medical.
In-depth knowledge of group voluntary/supplemental products, claims, contracts, underwriting, risk management and core business functions, with a key emphasis on aligned enrollment strategies (to include platforms, distribution, marketing, etc).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build from the ground up successfully, with a drive for results, and an ability to identify solutions, and work autonomously, while possessing a strong commitment to developing effective partnerships across the organization.
Ability to engage productively in both day to day tasks and high level responsibilities associated with creating, maintaining and enhancing products.
