Job Description:

The Director, Business Development, Future Vertical Lift will manage all Strategy and Business Development responsibilities for Sikorsky's Future Vertical lift programs with total program value of $110 billion. The selected candidate will act as the direct liaison with OSD and Service representatives on all business development related matters, including new proposal/captures and keep sold programs and will be a key member of the team responding to the US Government on all related matters.

This person will be required to partner with Sikorsky Innovations, business capture executives/managers, market segment leaders and LMGA to shape the future of Sikorsky with Future Vertical Lift offerings. This involves direct interaction with counterparts across Lockheed Martin. The selected candidate will act as liaison with RMS BD/Business Operations and with Lockheed Martin Government Affairs to develop business strategies, customer engagement plans and legislative affairs strategies to garner support for Sikorsky Initiatives from Lockheed Martin Leaders, the USG and Congress.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the yearly orders commitment, development of the orders LRP and developing long term opportunities to grow the business.

  • Responsible for shaping opportunities and providing support for developing the Win plan, Black Hat/Competitive Intelligence assessments, requirements and Customer Value Proposition.

  • Manage across the enterprise, creating and maintaining key relationships and communications with RMS BD, LMGA and other business units across LM.

  • Responsible for gaining and maintaining relationships and on-going dialogue with all customer aspects of the requirements and acquisition processes, to include operational gaps/needs, requirements derivation and programming/budget related activities supporting Sikorsky Innovations, suppliers, team members and partners.

  • Advocate for public and legislative support for US Military related Sikorsky programs and warfighter missions that use Sikorsky products. Includes partnering with Sikorsky Communications to develop communications themes in support of Sikorsky Innovations Initiatives.

  • Be accountable for the human capital strategy, risk analysis and providing clear and concise direction to the team.

  • Manage budget inclusive of new business funds and SG&A effectively.

  • Lead and/or support management reviews such as New Business Board (NBB) and executive reviews at all LM levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years' experience directly applicable to program management, USG Capture, leadership and supervisory capability. Sikorsky Product knowledge is a plus.

  • A thorough understanding of the US Military customer requirements generation, acquisition and programming/budgeting processes.

  • Strong understanding of the RMS Capture process.

  • A thorough understanding of the Congressional budgeting and Authorization process with regards the annual Military Appropriations and Defense Authorization bills.

  • Proven track record of being an effective leader.

  • Strong customer relations with internal and external customers. Requires a demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and deal with top level customer, company and other personnel.

  • Good communications skills both written and oral. Must be able to present to internal and external customers.

  • Strong financial planning skills.

  • Strong decision-making.

BA/BS degree with 10+ years

MA/MS degree with 7+ years

Must be a US person - Clearance Required, Travel required ~ 30%

IDS International is currently seeking a Director of Business Development to drive the business development of the Cyber and Social Media Team in its Arlington, Virginia office. Our passion from the start has been to build the best synthetic digital training environment for conventional and special operations forces to develop, test and train on Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) to understand and leverage human factors in the digital domain, including offensive/defensive cyberspace operations, information operations, and intelligence functions. Responsibilities: * Supports executive team and develops growth strategies with new markets and objectives with other members of executive team and board of directors. * Oversees outreach for current and future clients and helps coordinate its implementation across sales channels, client management, and marketing and communications. * Oversees and consults on strategy to drive new opportunities from Target to Pursue and Bid as well as identify, track, prioritize and manage business opportunities for near, mid and long-term growth objectives. * Manages and mentors business development team to capture business opportunities that support revenue growth. * Identifies Cyber growth opportunities that are nested in the IDS International strategic vision and develops a plan with business development team to pursue. * Promotes the mission, goals/objectives, capabilities, skills and differentiators of IDS International. * Identifies Cyber customer capability gaps and aligns IDS International solutions to meet customer requirements. Required Qualifications: * Minimum of five (5) years successful relevant experience in business development, preferably for the federal government contractors. * Full spectrum cyber and information operations experience. * Significant experience in and/or knowledge of US Government and Military specifically in USCYBERCOM and components to include at least one of the following: * Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER); * Fleet Cyber Command (NAVCYBER); * Air Force Cyber Command (AFCYBER); * Marine Forces Cyber Command (MARFORCYBER); * Coast Guard Cyber Command (CGCYBER); or * Special Operations Command (SOCOM). * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in work or military experience. * Knowledge, experience, and proven success in the capture process for different contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus, IDIQ, multiple award, etc.). * Customer knowledge in the client base with proven ability to build new and leverage existing business connections. * Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management. * Ability to travel 30% - 50%.
