The Office of Admissions is seeking a higher education professional with experience in prospective student recruitment, outreach, and support as well as strategic recruitment and admission planning to fill our Director, International Student Recruitment position. The Director provides management, leadership, support, and coordination within the Office of Admissions at UT Dallas. Primary responsibilities include development, implementation, and management of international undergraduate and graduate admission and recruiting initiatives and prospective student support. This position will communicate regularly with leaders across campus to ensure the department's efforts support university-wide application, admission, and enrollment goals.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related progressive experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree and ten years of related progressive work experience
Experience developing and implementing data-driven recruitment and admissions programs and strategies
Extensive international travel experience
Supervisory experience
Proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Hyland OnBase, Salesforce CRM, or comparable software platforms
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and management of the University's international recruitment strategy.
Travel internationally to attend new student recruiting events and support international recruiting initiatives.
Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated complaints and difficult customer service situations.
Develop and maintain relationships with departments across campus, including the International Center and the Office of the Graduate Dean, to support international undergraduate and graduate recruiting efforts and to facilitate a welcoming and responsive environment for prospective international students.
Collaborate with other leaders in the Offices of Admissions and Enrollment Operations to identify existing challenges and work toward solutions.
Represent the Office of Admissions through membership and participation in related professional organizations.
May collaborate with Office of Admissions leadership to develop and oversee events for high school counselors, college advisors, prospective students, and special populations, and maintain relationships with departments across campus to facilitate participation in prospective student events and recruiting initiatives.
Represent the Office of Admissions in interdepartmental meetings.
Support, mentor, and supervise Admissions Counselors and Assistant Directors regarding international undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admission.
Coordinate with other teams within the Offices of Admissions and Enrollment Operations to achieve shared goals.
Participate in all assigned trainings, meetings, and events.
Other duties as assigned.

Detail-oriented and accurate with the ability to analyze and interpret data and apply strong reasoning skills to prioritize information, to make informed decisions, and to identify potential issues and possible solutions proactively
Understanding of conflict de-escalation and resolution techniques to handle difficult and sensitive student and customer service situations
