The primary responsibility of the Director, Treasury Services & Government Banking is to design, build, and lead a team of treasury professionals responsible for profitability, sales management, product development, client implementation, and ongoing customer support. This position drives the vision and strategy of Treasury Management and its delivery and execution across the organization and commercial client base.
The Director, Treasury Services & Government Banking will work with the appropriate Executive and Senior level officers to facilitate sales opportunities and manage operations of the department in conjunction with the overall bank strategy. This position requires exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and administrative skills, along with the ability to manage customer expectations, provide sales leadership direction, foster exceptional internal collaboration, and direct design/implementation and communication of all Treasury Management products and services. The position will also have direct reports that consist of Treasury Services Officers, Treasury Services Analysts and Manager of Government Banking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for directing all facets of Treasury Management sales, product/program development, pricing, implementation, and strategic plan development/execution
Creates and manages the overall financial operating plan for treasury management product, sales and client support teams including, but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
Effectively collaborates with various bank departments regarding portfolio management, sales, and client support objectives/initiatives
Develop and implement processes designed to improve and automate functions in order to optimize overall operational efficiency
Present new product and enhanced product recommendations/proposals to senior and executive management
Design and implement strategies targeted to promote the Treasury Management product offering, enhance customer retention, and expand cross-sell opportunities
Routinely perform competitive analysis and identify areas for competitive differentiation
Work closely with assigned third party vendors to ensure the department has updated product enhancements, accurate service level agreements, and precise metrics reporting
Stay current with and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of treasury management products and service offerings in the market
Responsible for adherence to all Bank, Compliance, and Regulatory policies/requirements
Identify, develop, and retain and outstanding talent
Stays abreast of pertinent regulatory and compliance issues and ensures adherence with all banking related laws and regulations. Protects all customer information and institution assets and complies with privacy and acceptable use policies

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from accredited four-year college or university required. Master's Degree (MBA) preferred or five to ten years related experience and/or training.
10+ years in a Banking treasury services, sales, business development and/or private banking.
3+ years in a Senior Management role managing top talent, strategy and budgets.
Demonstrated leadership skills - creating and executing business strategy and inspiring staff to deliver strong results.
Proven track record of facilitating progressive organizational change. technology.
Strong analytical abilities to analyze data and suggest recommendations.
Excellent judgment and problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution expertise.
