Job Profile Summary
This position oversees the direction, long-term planning and operations of the Project Management Office. Direct and lead the activities of the Project Manager, Project Coordinators, Consultants, and Technical Writer. Coordinates a
de-centralized group of business analysts to ensure technology projects meet the needs of the business. Promotes technology awareness and creates an enterprise- level understanding of technology, and the value, scope and timelines associated to technology projects. Works with the Quality Control and Assurance Team for the successful delivery and implementation of all technology projects. Responsible for the Project Review Board activities to ensure that all projects and activities are properly captured and published for review college wide.
Leads the Resource Planning Initiatives providing IT Department to effectively manage priorities, projects and operational capacities. Provides multi-faceted administrative and technical support to the Information Technology Department in a highly dynamic Information Technology environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Certified Project Management Professional required to understand and manage multiple, complex technical projects and the successful implementation of project deliverables.
Ability to manage and plan for large-scale technology change in a dynamic environment through a formal project planning methodology and resource and capacity planning.
In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in development and execution project plans and delivery of results.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, internally and externally, with high level executives and community leaders concerning information technology initiatives and strategic direction.
Cultivate and maintain professional contacts with other higher education institutions and professional organizations and associations
Ability to address technical issues in both technical and non-technical terms, modifying delivery method based on the audience being addressed. Emphasis placed on translating technical communication into a means of communication that is better understood by non-technical staff.
Ability to train, motivate, and encourage employees to embrace new technologies implemented at the College and develop tech-savvy employees at all levels.
