Outside Plant Engineering and Construction is seeking a Director of Process and Business Solutions who is a proven leader and authority on process management, process improvement, process driven systems and business requirements management. The ideal candidate will lead a team of resources assigned to complex projects requiring independent decision-making. The role leads & partners with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact operational results. Typically supervises managers and exempt professionals or technical staff and may operate as an individual contributor with considerable influence company wide.
Provides continuous and visible leadership for Outside Plant Engineering and Constructions current and future end-to-end (E2E) process design, process improvement, business solutions requirements management and quality-related initiatives; Leads a team of resources that have accountability for and are serving as an authority on various aspects of an initiative including: research, launch, customer experience design, financial and operating metrics, and process roadmaps;
Recognized as both a strong leader as well as a subject matter expert (SME) on a spectrum of processes, requirements management and quality improvement protocols; Leads a team that drives cross-functional process and requirements management workshops to satisfy our customer needs and optimize customer experience through documentation, process and requirements visibility and quality improvements to internal organization processes and technology.
The position will also support design iterations/UAT Planning and testing and post deployment validation of new solutions or operating platforms which impacts operating processes, customer experience, and core systems and tools for the organization. Focuses on the human, organizational and value stream aspects of business processes and their transformation. Leads the current state and to-be design of the Outside Plant Engineering and Constructions overall process structure, including creating a process hierarchy that streamlines processes and eliminates redundancy and by managing a process asset library to ensure visibility into process and requirement assets are readily available.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions*
*Ideal candidate directs a team of managers and analysts who: *
Supports leading and facilitating cross functional discussions within Outside Plant Engineering & Construction as well as with boundary partners
Leads the documentation of "As-Is" and "To-Be" processes and tools along with functional requirements
Ensures efficiency gains envisioned in the "to-be", become a reality, and the associated benefits are realized.
Build and manages detailed project plans to ensure the team meets key deadlines associated with the business integrators needs - a delay in the program will greatly impact the overall budget. Provide weekly communication of all milestones, accomplishments, and plan.
Plans, performs and implements process improvement and/or change management initiatives.
Drives the implementation of desired "to-be" process including customer experience and change management within the process, and systems
Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data from "best in class" companies to identify opportunities to enhance the overall program.
Interacts with customers and employees to understand the true needs and requirements for a future state - while challenging peers and senior leadership / SMEs to "lean out" processes to reduce cost and streamline the customer journey
De-escalate issues, identifies risk with program/ project, mitigate and place control
Supports End to End Outside Plant Engineering & Construction Capability Roadmap discussions with internal teams and boundary partners as needed.
Develops the long & short-term strategy for planning and implementing process improvement initiatives.
Develops strategy for planning and implementing processes to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services.
Develops policies, methods and procedures to supporting and lending to improvement of business processes and in support of change management.
Partners with change management to ensure that changes are deployed in a consistent, timely fashion that manages the risk of change, minimizes disruptions to the target environment, and provides a framework to ensure that changes are successfully implemented
Partners with OSPE&C Platform leadership to determine how new technologies can support reengineering business processes.
Successfully builds and manages relationships between various field and corporate contacts to fully meet their business process and change management needs.
Coaches, develops team members to continuously improve individual and team performance and capability.
Facilitates meetings and presentations to senior leadership.
Conducts performance reviews of team members to ensure performance objectives and expectations are met and, if not, takes immediate action to improve performance level.
Hires team members with the appropriate abilities required to achieve business goals.
10+ years of work experience
5 to 7 years of process experience (i.e. utilizing a known Process Improvement Methodology)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (acquired within agreed period)
Process mapping experience
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Black Belt Certification or PMP - depending on business need
BS/BA degree in related
iGrafx/ Visio experience
