The RD&E Functional Transformation Leader will drive the evolution of the RD&E function so that it is driven with consistent strategies, practices and application of digital technologies. In this position, the individual will report to the Honeywell CTO and partner with the Technology Leadership Council to continually evolve an end-state vision for RD&E practices across the Company and drive a coordinated deployment and institutionalizing of these practices. This role is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing key transformation projects to improve overall product and technology development quality, productivity and cycle time, resulting in significant business impact. The success of this role is measured by the overall efficiency and effectiveness of RD&E function and the overall business performance metrics enabled by RD&E.

Lead the deployment of consistent product development and NPI process/practices across RD&E

Lead the deployment of and institutionalization of the pre-NPI process across all SBGs and HTS

Be the RD& E focal for driving Digital Transformation along with IT

Improve NPI Portfolio and Program management capability across all SBGs

Lead consistent deployment of the PLM program across all SBGs using common standards

Refine the strategy around footprint consolidation in conjunction with the SBGs and monitor the execution

Coordinate the deployment of a common TRR process and its deployment
25 Lead the deployment of consistent product development and NPI process/practices across RD&E 25 Be the RD& E focal for driving Digital Transformation along with IT 25 Refine the strategy around footprint consolidation 25 Be part of the Honeywell Digital leadership team and drive consistent progress in optimal transforma


  • 10+ years of experience in product development and running engineering operations at multiple scales

  • Bachelor's degree


  • Experience in large scale engineering program management

  • Demonstrated performance driven accountability and self-directed work ethic in all jobs

  • Proven experience in process improvement, leading projects with a record of successful implementation of new processes and practices

  • Demonstrated change management and some level of people management experience

  • Experience with product engineering tools/engineering administration tools

  • Broad strategic thinking, with clear vision and translating that into vital programs

Job Description Compass Digital Labs, has a Great Opportunity as a Partner Technology Strategy Manager. This is a full-time role with a preference to be based in the US office in Charlotte, NC, as part of the Partner Technology Strategy Team. The Partner Technology Strategy Team is a highly-visible team responsible for developing and maintaining effective partner relationships with strategic, front-of-house, technology partners, whose technology is leveraged across Compass Group North America café operations. This team drives 3rd-party technology roadmaps and product enhancements for solutions that generate over two billion dollars in revenue for Compass. In addition the team oversees and prioritizes custom development requests, understands PCI and card brand mandate impact to the product portfolio and drives towards maintaining compliant solutions in partnership with the Security Management Team, aligns the portfolio with key Compass programs (ex. security, treasury, delivery, etc.), and supports upgrade and estate remediation planning. Our partners provide technology such as Point-of-Sale, kiosk, payments, mobile ordering, cashless, loyalty, food safety, catering management solutions, etc. The Partner Technology Strategy Manager will oversee the education and healthcare partners. The role will function as principal technical liaison between a portfolio of assigned partners leveraged by Compass Digital Labs and internal groups including Digital Delivery, Digital Strategy, IT Security, Treasury, etc. These partners provide technology such as Point-of-Sale, kiosk, payments, mobile ordering, meal plans, payroll deduct, etc. This position will report to the Director of Partner Technology Strategy. Some intermittent travel may be required throughout North America. Working with key stakeholder groups, primary responsibilities will encompass managing 3rd-party technology roadmaps and product enhancements, oversight and prioritization of custom development requests, understanding PCI and card brand mandate impact to the product portfolio and driving towards resolution, alignment of portfolio with key Compass programs (ex. security), upgrade and estate remediation planning. The position will encompass a varying mix of both strategic and tactical activities that must be balanced to achieve the desired results and will require a hands-on, 'can-do' approach. Responsibilities * Focused research projects on potential new partners to determine market space, viability, technology readiness, alignment with core CDL and Compass programs such as security mandates, scalability, delivery, etc. * Market analysis / comparisons for existing partners and product readiness * Product strategy / roadmaps and oversight of custom projects with our portfolio partners * Collaboration with other internal teams such as Digital Strategy, Digital Delivery, CompassNet, Digital Care, IT Security, Treasury, etc. to capture product needs / business requirements / recommendations and drive with 3rd party partners to resolution * Understanding of payment industry, PCI mandates, internal security mandates and their impact to our enterprise technology partners. Responsible for driving partners to comply with both the payment industry, PCI mandates as well as Compass security and audit mandates and partnering with appropriate internal teams to delivery the appropriate solutions * Upgrade planning for our products with our portfolio partners including understanding and communicating cost impact of these projects * Remediation planning for our products with our portfolio partners * Build partnerships within and outside the CDL team. Ensure effective communication between all groups. Drive dialogue between relevant parties to help achieve the most impactful results Qualifications * Proven ability to work in collaboration with 3rd party partners, building and developing effective relationships * Minimum 8 years experience in the IT or managed food services industries * Technical Project Management experience preferred * Bachelor's in a Hospitality Management or similar area of expertise, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration required * Solid knowledge and experience with front-of-house technology solutions * Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and effective organization, planning, problem solving and analytical skills * Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels within the organization and with external parties * Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines delivering high quality results on-time and on-budget * Strong written, verbal, and relationship-building skills * A self-starting, self-managing individual with a highly developed sense of ownership and responsibility * Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and cooperatively in a diverse group * Must be able to prioritize, organize assigned responsibilities and allocate resources to achieve the best results Apply to Compass Group today!
