Position Overview

The Finance & Accounts team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Director Tax, Transfer Pricing and International Controversy! The person in this role will report to the VP, Tax. The ideal candidate will be work closely with senior tax leaders and business leaders to develop the transfer pricing policies and practices, to identify potential tax issues, and to recommend solutions for tax initiatives. The candidate should be a highly motivated strategic problem solver, and possess strong analytic, organizational, and project management skills!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop global transfer pricing strategy.

  • Supervise the operational aspects of transfer pricing structure, which includes the setting of transfer prices for existing product flows and new products or transactions.

  • Identify new transfer pricing legislation across the globe and understand the potential impact to the Company.

  • Advise on transfer pricing documentation requirements and strategy to ensure transfer pricing matters are aligned with OECD/BEPS and involved jurisdictions.

  • Lead transfer pricing documentation process, including preparation, to ensure timely creation of transfer pricing reports on a global basis.

  • Lead the tax digitalization of the transfer pricing function.

  • Maintain relationship with the Company's financial statement auditors in relation to transfer pricing matters.

  • Develop transfer pricing controversy strategy and provide audit support for transfer pricing issues, including the negotiation and resolution of disputes with tax authorities.

  • Identify/anticipate areas of weakness based on functional/risk analysis and prepare or assist with preparation of audit-ready files.

  • Evaluate transfer pricing positions in the tax returns and support Global Tax Operations director in determining if a FIN48 is needed.

  • Lead advanced price agreements and proficient authority proceedings

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Deep knowledge of corporate tax including international tax research, compliance and consulting

  • Considerable knowledge of performing market studies and industry research

  • Ability to perform financial / economic analyses and build financial valuation models

  • Experience writing arguments and positions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage others, both directly and indirectly, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise.

  • Highly motivated strategic thinker with strong leadership, organizational, project management, and proven problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Must be open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information and unexpected circumstances and have the ability to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Aptitude to properly interpret and strategically apply government regulations and related technical requirements to global business and trade scenarios.

  • Excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to clearly convey tax concepts to global audiences.

  • Adhere to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions, and when dealing with others.

  • The ability to work with geographically dispersed teams, and have a high level of cross cultural awareness.

Preferred qualifications

  • JD, MST or MBA highly desirable.
