The Team:

We are building a Learning and Organizational Capability Center of Excellence from the ground up. The Center of Excellence will be accountable the design, development, deployment, and measurement of employee training programs, leadership development, succession planning, career pathing, performance management, organizational design, and change management. In partnership with the CCO and HRBPs, the Center of Excellence will act as Organization Development consultants; providing expertise and guidance around organizational design. We will design and implement leadership development strategies aligned to the business and succession planning outcomes; and build programs that drive functional expertise and maximize teammate effectiveness and efficiency. We will enhance change management and organizational effectiveness. We will provide individualized executive coaching, as needed, to help create high performance leadership teams, and implement innovative technology solutions to drive improved accessibility of talent development resources for all our associates. We will be champions for innovation in L&D. We will drive best practices, while knowing what other best in class companies are doing. The team will be strategic, business-oriented, and innovative, and will own all the key levers needed to ensure our associates are developing and advancing to meet the tremendous growth of the business.

The Role:

Reporting to the Vice President of Learning & Organizational Capability, will lead the Talent Management aspects of the Center of Excellence, and will also have the opportunity to contribute to the other aspects of the function. The person in this role will design, manage, and socialize the talent identification and HiPo identification process. This person will also ensure that talent across the organization has the appropriate individual development plans, and will contribute to the redesign of the performance management process. In close partnership with the HRBPs, this person will manage the execution of talent identification, succession planning, and performance management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated Talent Management strategies in partnership with Business Partners and Director of Learning & Development, taking into account the functional business strategies and pipeline, competitive / market landscape and based on robust analytics.

  • Design, develop, and manage organization-wide Talent Reviews and work with business partners to ensure implementation and monitoring of follow-up actions, capability building, talent exchange, structural changes, diverse succession planning, career progression, development implications

  • Define and facilitate collaborative talent brokering mechanisms between functions and divisions in relationship to talent strategies and pipeline focusing on simplicity and outcomes

  • Develop and partner on future focused talent work in conjunction with strategy and HR partner via strategic workforce planning.

  • Prepare / execute leadership development strategies in relationship to succession plans leveraging corporate leadership programs and coordinating nominations to ensure follow up and feedback is undertaken, appropriate development plans are in place and tracking of future career paths for participants.

  • Undertake internal coaching assignment for key leaders

  • Lead medium to high complexity OD projects on culture, change and organization design

  • Build a strategic and independent view

  • Leverage data, analytics, strategic talent insight to suggest OD initiatives that support delivery of culture and functional strategy

  • Support and coach the Business Partner community to enhance their capability and application of TM and OD&I tools, processes and frameworks

  • Define / monitor a robust set of people metrics, using this to inform the TM strategy

Critical Skills:

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority

  • Extensive knowledge of succession planning, career pathing, performance management, organizational design, executive coaching and change management activities

  • Passion for driving improved organizational efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation of Talent Management strategies. Experience working with best practices and knowledgeable of industry trends

  • Broad national perspective and the ability to lead with cultural sensitivity across a diverse organization

  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and be accountable for their assigned work

  • Smart, creative, compelling, driven, creates a sense of urgency and is energized by speed

  • Ability to operate in a face-paced environment with competing priorities


Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 10+ years of directly related experience

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management, OD, or applicable field is a plus

  • Talent Management technologies

  • Strong management, operational and multi-tasking skills

  • Experience collaborating across departments

  • Experience advising senior leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage leaders, peers, and direct reports to achieve ambitious and transformative results

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex initiatives and/or operational execution in consulting or organizational settings

  • Strong facilitation and consulting skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
