Position is based in Sugar Land, Texas.
What the Director, Talent Management Does Each Day:
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and support each department's goals and strategies related to the employee experience
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, practices, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support compliance and strategy needs
Oversees the creation and implementation of human resource programs and practices including, but not limited to, employee relations, disputes, and investigations; performance management; productivity, recognition, engagement, and morale
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the human resource information system (HRMS)
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources/talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Supervises and provides coaching to staff on all aspects of performance; provides developmental feedback as needed
Provides input on departmental budget
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or similar field
8-10 years' work experience in human resources, with at least five years in a managerial position
SHRM or HRCI certification, or ability to obtain certification in the first year of employment
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
