Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for an experienced System Validation Director to oversee the daily operation in our Testing Lab. The individual will lead a team in the testing lab to conduct various troubleshoot and debug to eliminate quality issues, develop testing tools and process to improve the overall efficiency. He/she will also be monitoring the day to day workload of the employees and assign tasks adequately to optimize the skillsets of the team members. The ideal candidate must have solid experiences in hardware testing environment with the ability to communicate effectively and provide strong leadership to lead a team in lab environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Troubleshoot and debug quality issues

• Develop test methodology

• Able to work with little direction/guidance, understands when/what to escalate to upper manager

• Ensure Lab facilities are functioning as required

• Collaborate within the teams to determine resource requirements supporting test processes/procedures/methods

• Coordinate validating scheduling

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in engineering discipline with 15+ years of experience in lab environment and 7 years of management experience is ideal

• Familiar with test equipment with solid hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting

• Expert in both hardware and application test methodology

• Strong communicating skills

• Understand automation (HW and SW)

• Strong knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment

Salary Range

$170,000 - $200,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
