We are seeking Surgery/Perioperative Nursing Leaders nationwide!

Summary: The Director of Surgical Services is part of the hospital administrative team and assists with the organization, direction, management and evaluation of patient care services for the Surgical Service areas.
Responsible for the clinical, operational and financial management of the Surgical Services departments.
Budgetary or fiscal accountability and is responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of units.
Oversees the unit's operation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care and to maximize patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers.
Develop and review monitoring activities related to the quality of nursing care provided.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Must have strong knowledge of all aspects of Perioperative Services and other areas as applicable, such as Operating Room, Endoscopy, PACU, and/or Central Sterile Processing.
Performs responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Experience: 5-7 years acute care nursing experience 3-5 years Perioperative/Surgery nursing experience required 2-3 years supervisory/management experience required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field highly preferred Certifications / Licensure:
Current State Registered Nurse (RN) License and/or other licensure as applicable.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred Special

Must be able to work under deadlines and utilize independent decision making skills in a wide variety of situations Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to manage and inspire a team Computer skills Great opportunity for a Surgical Leader!

This position will provide clinical leadership for Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, Bronchoscopy, Pre/Post, a 10 bed overnight unit, and will partner closely with Medical Directors in each clinical area including anesthesia. Areas of responsibility include: capital budgets and improvements over and under $50,000 as well as management of operational budgets for all areas, Quality, patient safety, patient and staff satisfaction, and all regulatory standards for surgical, ambulatory, and inpatient care settings. The position will provide clinical leadership for 60-80 procedures per day, ambulatory patients, and inpatients, and will be responsible for over 100 FTEs with various shifts, and on-call responsibilities. Summary: As Director of Patient Services, RN in our Cardiac and Vascular Center, you will supervise all Care Team Specialists, Charge Nurses and Support Staff. Key responsibilities also include developing an annual budget, recruitment and retention of staff and managing process improvement of patient throughput and delivery of care. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
