Liberty is opening several new specialized residential homes in North County San Diego. Each home will serve four adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as significant behavioral health challenges. These homes are all located in the town of Ramona 20 miles north of Santee and 20 miles east of Escondido.
To support clients of these homes, Liberty is now hiring for multiple newly-created full-time, part-time and per diem 'Behavioral Support Professional' positions which will be responsible for:
Providing direct care to clients
Observing clients' conditions and behaviors
Assisting clients with their activities of daily living
Rapidly responding to individual client needs
Proactively addressing problems, concerns and issues
Assisting clients with their medications
Transporting clients in a company vehicle
Helping to implement behavioral interventions under the direction of clinical professionals
You will primarily work weekdays, however you will likely be required to also work a Saturday or Sunday each week. Available work schedule options are across the following three shifts:
These positions offer a starting rate of $18.50 per hour. Higher hourly rates may be offered to individuals who have certain relevant professional credentials and/or experience. As a Behavioral Support Professional you will be affiliated with an organization that is nationally-recognized as a leader in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities services. You will also gain valuable training and resume-building experience.
You qualify for this position if you have at least six months of professional experience providing direct care and behavioral support to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. You must also be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and have auto insurance as you will need to transport clients in a company vehicle periodically.
Licensed Vocational Nurses, Licensed Psychiatric Technicians and Registered Behavioral Technicians are strongly encouraged to apply for this position. If you do not hold one of these professional credentials, Liberty will provide you with guidance applying and testing for the Registered Behavioral Technician certification, which will be required within your first year of employment. Other on the job training will also be provided, so you may more effectively serve our clients and grow your professional skillset.
