Position Overview

The Director, Supply Planning and Inventory Control oversees Supply Chain Planning operations to ensure continuity of supply through demand planning, production planning, inventory planning, and effective Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) partnership. Ensures flawless execution of the Supply Chain organization by proactively challenging processes and systems and continuously evaluating data to ensure continuous improvement.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Inventory Control: Maintain and optimize inventory to ensure optimal sales all while minimizing the potential for obsolescence

  • Cost Improvement: Identify, evaluate and execute on Cost of Goods Sold (COGs) opportunities

  • Artificial Intelligence: Enhance processes through the utilization and implementation of improved IT systems

  • CMO Relationship: Ensure positive relationships are maintained with CMOs, hold regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and ensure contract compliance

  • People Leadership: Lead in the development of a culture, and supporting systems, to drive open communication, participation, and idea-sharing in order to build an engaged team; advance and model Mayne Pharma values and leadership commitments; assure the highest levels of compliance and integrity are evident in all interactions

Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales and evaluate trends in order to appropriately modify planning requirements to meet demands and minimize obsolescence

  • Monitor inventory levels

  • Ensure on time delivery of finished goods to meet commercial requirements

  • Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) presentations during monthly S&OP meetings

  • Manage key business metrics including: customer service, inventory levels, excess and obsolete inventory, short date products, demand accuracy and contract deliverables

  • Develop key business relationships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations

  • Produce monthly scorecards and holds QBRs to ensure CMOs are meeting/exceeding expectations

  • Evaluate COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) for finished products and determines cost reduction strategies

  • Oversee IT solutions to facilitate a secure and effective inventory environment, including enhancements to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Predictive Analytical tools

  • Ensure Drug Supply Chain Security Act compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in science or finance with + 10 years' pharmaceutical experience

  • Experience working with supply contracts and CMO quality agreements Requires excellent leadership experience to manage teams

  • Must be able to navigate various levels of leadership at CMO's and CPO's to ensure our objectives are achieved.

Physical Requirements

  • International and Domestic Travel required (up to 10%)

  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing

  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations

  • Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active chemical ingredients

  • Must be able to work in a team environment
