Position Summary

Lead a team that will manage key Supply Chainstrategic initiatives for the organization and ensure teams are prepared withthe training, tools and SOP's needed to successfully execute their daily jobfunctions.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Supply Chain Transformation

  • This team will play an integral rolein the NMG supply chain transformation. The role will include both system and facility readiness along withimplementation of any strategic initiatives

  • Team will work closely with internaland external partners to meet Supply Chain strategic goals

  • Collaborate with NMG merchants andstore operations in efforts to obtain goals

  • Drive direction and solutions forsupply chain constraints

  • Partner with S OP to develop businesscases' for supply chain strategic initiatives

  • Utilize analytics to providecontinuous feedback to NMG facilities on network optimization

Supply Chain Training Programs

  • Leadteam that will establish a uniform training program across NMG supply chainfacilities, which does not exist today

  • Standardizeoperating procedures in both content and format

  • Managethe maintenance and continuous improvement of the training program

  • Identifytools to help achieve goals

  • Createa best in class Supply Chain training program that will ensure associatesuccess during, throughout and after supply chain transformational projects arein action

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering is preferred; Business Degree is acceptable

  • Experience with analytics and developing cost benefit analysis', preferably in retail fulfillment and distribution

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems such as Manhattan WMS and Order Management Systems

  • Strong leadership skills, leading teams in implementation of new programs and utilization of new systems

  • Strength in collaboration both with internal and external partners

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines

The incumbent will need to partner with business unit Operations, Program Management, Finance and Supply Chain leaders to achieve Supply Chain and Mission Area goals. Responsible for SSS Supply Chain activities with locations in El Segundo California and Forest, MS. Responsible for over $450M in annual procurements and approx 100 Contracts (approximately 1000 programs) in support of the secure Sensor Solutions Mission Area. In order to be successful, the Director, MPM will need to: * Serve as the Supply Chain Lead for the SSS Mission area and the liaison between Supply Chain and the program IPT's. Create, manage, and execute material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance from the front end of the business through contract closure. * Provide comprehensive Supply Chain strategy and support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Key activities typically include: financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material forecasts, etc.); overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues, develop/evaluate the MB/MW strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.), and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. * Organize, engage, and lead a large supply chain staff while developing and mentoring talent. Improve the overall quality and capability of the organization by attracting, retaining and growing a capable, dedicated workforce. * Build and utilize standardized company processes and tools to establish an appropriately-sized supply base driven by metrics and a culture of mission assurance. * Define and develop strategies to address supplier source selection and supply base right sizing while meeting both current and future product requirements. Monitor supplier quality, schedule, cost and all aspects of performance to ensure the highest levels of support. * Define appropriate goals and objectives to meet and exceed business objectives. Interact with and positively influence Mission Area Supply Chain Organizations, Operations, Mission Assurance, Global Business Services, as well as external suppliers in order to achieve Mission Area goals and objectives. Required Skills: * Minimum of 14 years of supply chain or related experience * Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders * Experience with Executive Level relationships and influencing multiple stakeholders internally and externally * Experience anticipating internal customers' needs and gaps, and providing solutions to reduce cycle-time and cost that position SAS to win new business and achieve AOP plans * Experience collaborating with Subcontracts, Procurement and corporate procurement team to ensure risks and opportunities are managed to ensure predictable, improved performance * Experience leading a diverse, virtual team and be a catalyst for accountability, empowered ideas, R6S improvements, trust and respect, and strong two-way communication * Demonstrated knowledge of subcontract administration, pricing, proposal support, material program management with previous management experience is required * Experience as a change agent * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. .
