We're looking for someone to join our team as a Director, Supply Chain Management who:
Plans, directs, oversees and coordinates all activities and personnel management of purchasing, receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment as performed by the Supply Chain Management department. Manages mail services.
Collaborates with hospital departments to facilitate requisitioning of supplies, services, and equipment. Serves as a resource for the acquisition of capital equipment and ensures appropriate approval processes are followed. Assists in organization budget. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Maintains accurate inventory control systems. Develops and maintains a value analysis program for the acquisition of supplies and materials.
Conducts ABC analysis to review stock item utilization. Conducts inventories as needed.
Develops, implements, and administers a hospital-wide supply chain and material management function with responsibilities for purchasing, inventory control, material systems and financial controls. Develops and administers departmental operating policies and procedures.
Directs and coordinates department activities. Ensures personnel are compliant with organization guidelines and regulatory agencies at all times. Monitors and evaluates employee performance and productivity to ensure proper work levels of quality and quantity are maintained.
Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets for assigned cost centers. Reviews department budget reports to maintain favorable operating results. Reviews and maintains department activity statistics to measure department work volumes.
Participates in the strategic planning process as it relates to supply expenses and equipment needs/purchases.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
Master's Degree: Preferred
Seven years related experience: Preferred
Five years leadership experience: Preferred
