JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Supply Chain & Logistics will be responsible for defining and executing strategic initiatives in alignment with the company's overall strategies to foster ongoing growth. This role would manage leaders and team members within SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning), Logistics, and Strategic Sourcing.

This role will have a key role in assisting the overall company drive growth by defining and implementing supply chain and logistics strategy supportive of growth by delivering value for Lube-Tech's customers. This would include defining and implementing strategies to drive world class sourcing and logistics strategies. These strategies should address global sourcing of raw materials and MRO, domestic and international shipping utilizing every mode of transportation (airfreight, ocean, trucking, small parcel) and establishment of a global distribution hub network, inbound shipping to Lube-Tech's manufacturing and distribution points, movement of inventory between distribution hubs, and 3rd Party outbound transportation to our customers. Currently, Lube-Tech has manufacturing and distribution hubs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Louisiana, shipping to customers in over 70 countries.

This role will work closely with our Senior Leadership team across sales, account management, customer service, product management, and operations to ensure seamless customer order fulfillment globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech purpose and values; demonstrate servant leadership with ability to build strong, collaborative team. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of our teammates.

  • Provide leadership to Logistics and Supply Chain team that inspires and motivates others to act as a high performing team: customer service focused, collaborative, accountable, efficient with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Become an integral member of Custom Branded Solutions(CBS) and Distribution Solutions(DS) Leadership Team responsible for establishing long-range plan including revenue growth, profit and investment return guidelines.

  • Implement organizational development plan ensuring right leadership in place to implement strategic plan. Own talent development for Distribution Solutions and Enterprise, continuously identifying, developing and shifting leadership talent. Serve as a coach to emerging talent.

  • Develop and implement Global Supply Chain, Distribution and Transportation strategy and policies to support business objectives of cost, quality and customer experience

  • Develop Global Distribution Hub operational objectives and execute plans to achieve goals

  • Drive freight cost reduction in international air and ocean, domestic LTL, domestic and international parcel through strategic vendor relationships, price negotiation global RFQ's

  • Lead large strategic cross functional projects to improve efficiency in supply chain and transportation to reach global customers

  • Utilize data analysis and KPI's to maintain world class order fulfillment from the distribution network while managing overall cost

  • Utilize data analysis to look for cost saving opportunities across the supply chain and distribution network including transportation and global warehousing costs. Responsible for developing and executing an optimized replenishment strategy for the CBS and DS businesses to achieve desired service levels and lowest total inventory, transportation and labor costs.

  • Owner of corporate TMS (Transportation Management System) including performance, execution, leading any software upgrade projects, partnering with IT for enhancements

  • Partner with sales and operations leaders to support strategic growth by making product order fulfillment a competitive advantage. Including, oversight and improvement of SIOP process to drive "perfect order" at optimal level of inventory.

  • Lead and execute "80/20" principles relative to supplier and product management. Implement processes for ongoing review of products and suppliers to ensure we are in alignment with "80/20" principles (i.e. standard products to all customers; specialized products available for Q1/Q2 customers).

  • Develop vendor scorecards to manage all aspects of supplier performance on all purchases of raw materials, 3PL service, transportation, and warehousing. At Lube-Tech we believe relationships matter, this role is expected to develop strong relationships and partnerships with our top suppliers to enhance our business partnership.

  • Lead Logistics and Supply Chain continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology

  • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

  • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.

  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.

  • Keeps up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or International Business
  • MBA preferred

Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in international and domestic supply chain and logistics demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading global supply chain and logistics professionals

  • Experience running global RFQ's for raw materials, transportation, warehousing and MRO

  • Ability to utilize data analytics and turn into actionable strategy

  • Willingness and ability to work at a strategic and tactical level

  • Experience managing 3PL Distribution Centers

  • Proven track record running large projects and delivering results

  • Ability to communicate, lead and influence at all levels of the organization and with suppliers and customers

  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.

  • Analytical and creative problem resolution abilities

  • General management instinct: Ability to lead high profile, complex initiatives and project teams

  • Ability to travel as needed including Internationally (10-20%)

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous material when in our warehouse facilities.
