Job Description

The Director, Supply Chain will report to the COO and is responsible for all aspects of the supply chain, including supply chain strategy, forecasting, sourcing, contracting, vendor management, outsourced manufacturing, and logistics (delivery and returns). Examine existing procedures and opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Will coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs. Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable WIP and inventory.

The roles will have a real and lasting impact by improving productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing procurement and cost containment strategy leveraging multi-year volumes while avoiding overhang commitments

  • Conduct periodic review meetings with Sales, Marketing and Demand Planners to review inventory supply plan and stocking levels

  • Negotiating multi-year procurement commitments with periodic POs

  • Develop local spares and support strategy to ensure repair SLAs

  • Develop and execute supplier quality assurance processes

  • Develop logistics strategy and processes to direct ship to regional markets/installers

  • Expedite and monitor production and shipments as needed to maintain appropriate inventory in support of demand

  • Direct all movement, storage, and processing of product and materials

  • Develop strategies for duties and tariff optimization with global suppliers

  • Lead supply chain activities related to process engineering and ERP implementation

  • Manage RMA processing, vendor warranties along with recycling and disposal

  • Work with Product team to ensure roadmap and strategic sourcing alignment

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal presentation and communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners and vendors

Ability to think critically, analyze information, and make actionable recommendations

  • High degree of organizational capability with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (or a combination of equivalent education and experience)

  • 5+ years of experience Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management / Planning

  • New product introduction experience

  • Supply chain experience with complex, high-value assets and global suppliers

  • Hands on experience with ERP systems

  • Lifecycle approach to supplier management and relationship owner

The Lead Consultant performs their duties utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives and provide solutions to colleagues and customers. With leadership direction, the Lead Consultant may provide direction to the Consultant and solve escalated customer issues General Duties and Responsibilities (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive) * Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers * Manages production flow to ensure all production orders are done right and on time * Takes customer orders, giving pricing information, performs consultative selling to customers, and and recommends FedEx Office products and services tracks and logs all production jobs * Takes lead responsibility for digital imaging, scheduling and running black and white or color production on full service orders, including finishing services and large job management * Sets up complex orders and performs multiple tasks at the same time * Responsible for ensuring quality during and after production process * Ensures communication among shifts * Coordinates pick-up and delivery of customer orders * May provide leadership to team members on an assigned shift * Assists in the training of store team members * Collates, sorts and organizes customer orders * Operates the Point of Sale terminal (POS), handles financial transactions and makes change. * Completes required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting including daily sales, close-outs and bank deposits * Follows instructions of supervisors and assists other team members in performing store functions * Follows FedEx Office standard operating procedures as well as adhering to legal, HR, safety and security policies and procedures * Secondary responsibility for coordination of all shipping related services and activities, to include: * Provides customer service by determining appropriate shipping methods, informing customers of company products, services, routes, and rates * Ensures quality customer service is given to customers by providing packaging services, as well as offering information about company products and services * Offers assistance to customers by suggesting appropriate shipping methods.
