Director, Supplier Operations

Job Purpose:

The Director, Supplier Operations will direct staff and activities of Newisys suppliers. The candidate will work with the manufacturing plants and key suppliers to establish inventory management strategies in line with corporate goals.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop relationship with Newisys manufacturing sites and key suppliers.

  • Develop a vendor managed inventory strategy on key configurable items.

  • Develop and implement a strategy to streamline inventory across the supply chain positioning sub-assemblies and sub-tiers to support JIT manufacturing strategy.

  • Meet with customers and suppliers to develop an order fulfillment strategy that meet business goals

  • Negotiate prices with suppliers

  • Mentor and groom organization to develop a pipeline of leaders


  • Bachelor\Master degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

  • Minimum of 10 years directly related experience in the Manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years experience at a senior leadership role preferably with P&L responsibility.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills.

  • Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external customers.

  • Strong ability to plan at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Experience in manufacturing philosophies, operations, processes, and related technologies.

  • Excellent understanding and the ability to manage capital and expense budgets.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and lead teams to solve complex problems.

  • Personal computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
