PURPOSE: The Director of Supplier Excellence is responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet our global quality standards and requirements and for developing and implementing strategies to improve supplier performance and mitigate risk across our supply chain. The Director of Supplier Excellence will be responsible for leading a team who are developing and deploying supplier quality improvement and audit programs and working closely with suppliers to address quality issues. The Director of Supplier Excellence will also be responsible for developing appropriate supplier metrics, and scorecards, ensuring that supplier performance is in line with agreed performance targets and suppliers are complying with regulatory requirements. The Director of Supplier Excellence will work closely with cross-functional teams effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of our strategic objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Develop and implement a global supplier quality program to ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and requirements.

  • Ensure we develop and maintain a global Register of Approved Suppliers and have appropriate controls in place to manage the process of supplier approval and qualification.

  • Implement a program to effectively manage supplier audits and ensure we are working collaboratively with suppliers to resolve any non-conformances identified.

  • Lead a team working closely with suppliers to address quality issues and develop corrective action plans.

  • Monitor supplier quality performance and maintain effective reporting to all stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain a process to ensure we are flowing scorecards to nominated suppliers and ensure these are driving appropriate improvement actions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that supplier quality is aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain supplier quality improvement plans.

  • Ensure we develop and maintain an effective supplier risk management and mitigation program.

  • Work with Procurement Excellence team to ensure we develop and maintain appropriate supplier quality policies, procedures, processes and tools.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance in line with agreed targets and drive continuous improvement across our supply chain.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in quality or supply chain management, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in supplier quality management or supply chain management.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Extensive experience developing and deploying supplier quality management systems, policies, procedures, processes, tools and best practices.

  • Experience deploying supplier management software and tools.
