POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Health Services and Wellness will lead a team of professionals in delivering a variety of health services on the Chattanooga State main campus. The Director will plan, organize and direct Student Health Clinic programs, operations and activities addressing the physical, social and mental health needs of the students, including the screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, prevention programming, health education, and health and safety risk management; coordinate and direct communications, services, resources and information to meet student health needs. The Director will supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fiscal Stewardship and Program Innovation
Ensure compliance with college, state, and federal standards and requirements governing health services
Develop and manage budgets for Student Health Clinic
Identify external revenue resources appropriate for Clinic sustainability
Direct and participate in the preparation and maintenance of reports
Holistic Student Supports
Evaluate and treat student health conditions as a licensed provider
Direct health education function and activities to enhance student health and awareness
Serve as primary contact for students visiting the Student Health Clinic
Support clinic staff in maintaining professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
Organizational Culture & Inclusive Practice and Teaching Excellence
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff
Ensure that required licensures and certifications are current for healthcare providers
Develop department orientation and training sessions
Maintain confidentiality of student files and records
Required Qualifications
Hold a Master's Degree in Nursing as an APRN.
Possess current CPR certification.
Have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students from diverse academic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Licenses and other requirements:
Hold an unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Tennessee.
Hold an unencumbered license to practice as an advanced practice nurse in Tennessee.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in student health services within an academic setting.
Doctorate in Nursing.
Projected Salary Range: $69,290 - $86,610
