Job Description:

The Director, Strategy Development position develops, manages and supports the organization's strategic planning process. Provides thought leadership on strategic initiatives and performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities. Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long term prospects. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence and implementing of strategic business objectives. Helps business unit define vision, strategies and tactics.

Additional Duties:

  • Observe the trends of the markets relevant to PSPC business and direct market research efforts to understand opportunities and challenges for the business

  • Utilize market research and intelligence to inform and drive the growth initiatives of PSPC, including support for the annual strategic plan, pricing reviews and competitive market assessments

  • Work with greater CS strategy function on behalf of PSPC business to define and support the execution of key business' overall strategies and objectives

  • Work with other functions of the business to develop a long-term product and services strategy to support business strategic objectives

  • Develop partnership strategy to define, select and negotiate with key third parties in support of business objectives and strategic roadmap

  • Review PSPC investments to gauge strategic fit of all product development to strategic initiatives and support investment decisions

  • Work closely with PSPC senior leadership to ensure that product roadmaps align with key industry trends and potential disruptions

  • Work with marketing team and sales teams to develop an external go to market plan and support its execution with PSPC constituents

  • Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, thought leadership and other technical and business advisory opportunities

  • Oversees the production of key business unit deliverables (SGP, QOR, Check Point, MOS)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years' relevant experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in the strategic planning process and establishment of business strategic initiatives

  • Understanding of market research and data analysis methods

  • Ability to synthesize market intelligence data and translate into strategic objectives

  • Understanding of corporate and direct go to market strategies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities from the sector and across Harris business segments

  • Demonstrated understanding of supporting business needs of the sales channel, including dealer and distributor channels

  • Clear ability to manage with ease across a variety of business disciplines (IT, finance etc.)

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
