Job Role & Responsibility

You will provide strategic transformational consulting services to our organizations/functions to ensure we are equipped for the organizational, product portfolio and operational needs of today and poised to enable the strategic, business, technology/product GTM outcomes of tomorrow. You will develop business solutions combining people, organizational, technology/portfolio/business model incubation, and operational change to support the strategic & business direction of the company in the areas including, but not limited to, cloud services go-to-market, customer success, ecosystems, product portfolio, and marketing. This role demands a professional who can excel under pressure, is solution focused and has excellent partnership and influencing skills. It is highly desirable to have experience where one successfully incubates and/or propels products, services, organizations, and/or technology-product portfolio to business success through strategic transformation or business critical initiatives. Excellent written and oral communication skills plus good technical and business background required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Creation of vision, strategy and execution plans for business capabilities & transformation

  • Proactively and continuously assess business areas where business transformations are required and can be made resulting in measurable efficiencies and allow for scalability

  • Accountable for facilitating, providing structure and methodology for change

  • Track and communicate progress of program to Transformation Executive & Advisory council(s)

  • Manage programs (roadmaps, sequencing, risks, opportunities, resource plan, progress tracking and budgets)

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (including and not limited to product business units) to ensure successful assessment, execution, and sustainability

  • Ability to be agile and progress quickly

  • Drive business and/or finance outcomes including resource redeployment and cross product/technology portfolio/infrastructure enablement

  • Define best in class maturity and engagement models for organizations, including and not limited to ecosystems, channels

  • Foster and influence behavioral change tied to business outcomes

Required Skills

  • 12-15+ years of Business Experience (key areas: business models, strategic planning, GTM/business operations, channels, and/or organizational effectivity)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience managing and implementing large programs/initiatives through all levels of the organization

  • Strong program/project management skills

  • Solid experience in a functional role (service organizations, marketing, sales, operations, product management/marketing, finance)

  • Leadership presence and ability to influence senior executives

  • Strong process and change management skills as change agent with solid success track records in impactful changes organizationally or operationally

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to drive results and manage multiple demands

  • Ability to lead and partner across multiple teams and be a team player

  • Strong operational improvements skills

  • Strong skills or experience of business model incubation and/or technology/product GTM business success

Desired Skills

  • VMware Product Marketing experience including and not limited to various GTM aspects such as packaging, pricing, positioning, configurations, etc.

  • VMware general SDDC and/or SaaS knowledge. Good understanding and moderate experience with VMware's digital transformation strategy with ecosystem and customers.

  • Experience in interactions with customers and partners for customer satisfaction / success, escalation resolution, product portfolio improvement or fit.
