The Director Stores Analytics and Insights will lead and act as a thought partner to our Head Store Operations and Head of Sales. He/ She will work closely with the CEO and the ELT.

Specifically, this position will:

  • Lead efforts to generate innovation in current solutions and emerging business needs for store sales and operational success

  • Communicate complex analytical results in terms that are meaningful to field and operations partners and key stakeholders

  • Guide strategies through sophisticated analysis on real-estate and store activity.

  • Provide multi-platform advanced analytics, insights, and recommendations to ensure we keep consumer experience top of mind.

  • Lead and drive all analytics and recommendations supporting brand level store initiatives across but not limited to strategic store testing, selling architecture and store specific trends.

  • Ensure continuous customer segmentation and analysis to identify, recommend, and focus on profitable and truly differentiated customer segments.

  • Focus to ensure testing and control methodology is sound and statistically valid.

  • Drive the development of enhanced data to serve as a predictive or explanatory variable for driving store productivity and sales.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of management experience including stores, finance and retail operations

  • Tremendous curiosity and drive towards "what's next," the ability to see around corners and anticipate trends

  • Thorough knowledge of retail business and current trends

  • Proven analytical skill set and strong financial background

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate across functions managing ambiguity

  • Ability to innovate change through visionary thinking and strategic management

  • Well-versed in strategic vision as well as tactical execution

  • Exceptional communication, influencing skills and negotiating skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 Description The Customer Market Insights department is responsible for creating Customer knowledge by providing relevant and actionable insights that influence merchant, marketing and total brand activities + strategy The department work is divided into three main focus areas: 1. Product and concept testing for new fragrances and product launches. 2. Competitive and market trends analysis utilizing external data sources. 3. BBW Customer analytics: understand Customer buying behavior utilizing BBW's internal transactional and Customer databases. The manager position resides in this team. The Manager, Customer Market Insights is responsible for the Analytic projects on the team. This includes leading conversation with internal partners to drive work + converting business questions into insights and actions. This is a hands-on position where all analytics are driven by through extracting data from existing data sources (Transactional and Customer databases). This position is also responsible for key brand metrics around overall customer health. RESPONSIBLITIES: * Lead the analyses of transactional and customer data, including cross-tabulations and statistical analysis, writing insights around purchasing patterns, develop hypotheses about trends, and translate results into actionable recommendations for business partners. Ownership of both recurring/standardized reporting as well as adhoc projects. * Participate in efforts around finding and recommending new data analysis methodologies in co-operation with internal and external resources. * Attend and/or lead meetings and build relationships with key internal stakeholders that relate to customer insights projects. This individual will be responsible for presenting findings/observations to both junior and senior level teams. * Gain intimate knowledge of assigned business categories and how they impact the overall Brand. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, MIS/CIS or other related discipline, four (4) years' experience in Marketing / Customer Analytics. * Experience working with Relational Databases (ex. Teradata, Oracle) with focus on data mining using tools such as SAS/Eguide, SQL, SPSS, or JMP. * Experience with Retail or Customer analytics preferred. * This individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Demonstrated ability to work directly with the (internal) customer(s) to understand the questions and then create an action plan to extract the necessary data and present the findings in a clear and concise manner. This position will require effective interaction and coordination with many functional groups and internal customers. Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must. * Excellent project management skills. This position requires an individual who is able to develop analytic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
