Business Analytics is a key member of the US Oncology Strategic Insights & Analytics team and KYMRIAH commercial team. In partnership with brand marketing, sales leadership, market research, finance, and other key stakeholders, the director is responsible for using expert analytics to provide meaningful market insights that enable effective, data driven decision-making. The Director must also demonstrate the ability to work independently with a proactive approach to meet business needs and deadlines.

  • Set KYMRIAH performance expectations, including creation of demand-based/patient-driven brand forecasts

  • Proactively monitor KYMRIAH performance to understand market dynamics; partner with Insights team to deliver strategic, insights-driven recommendations that correspond to KYMRIAH opportunities/challenges

  • Innovate & Improve, including employment of new data sources, creative methodologies & strategies to uncover new business opportunities & insights

  • Communicate data & insights-driven strategies to impact KYMRIAH business by simplifying and streamlining analytics to create the brand "story" that explains the "what" & the "why"

The Director, Insights and Analytics Services will be responsible for overseeing engagements with US-based internal clients, specifically commercial operations, franchise, and other clients in assigned business units. This role will be responsible for ensuring that engagements in relevant CSP service groups, namely Insights and Analytics (I&A), and Primary Market Research (PMR), in our Novartis Global Service Centers (NGSCs) are identified, scoped, structured, and delivered consistent with client expectations. Further, the role will capture new engagement opportunities to increase use of PLS services, identify new services, increase internal client satisfaction and deepen relationships, including being responsible to lead critical projects. Major Accountabilities * Works closely with the US Regional team and I&A to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships around CSP services * Acts as single point of contact in US Regional team and relevant I&A leads in the US for all relevant I&A service engagements * Drives business development within the US market and US based global business for CSP services * Scopes out and initiates I&A projects for clients, ensuring adherence to time-lines, quality objectives, and client needs in I&A service areas, such as: o Field, business, brand analytics / reporting, inclusive of digital and managed market analytics o Segmentation, planning, targeting o Forecasting o Advanced analytics (e.g., promotional mix modelling, predictive / prescriptive analyt-ics) o Competitive Intelligence o Quantitative and qualitative primary market research o Integrated insight development * Develops and manages $1M+ strategic, collaborative engagements with key clients; support co-creation of new services for I&A and PMR working with senior clients * Ensures preparedness of relevant I&A resources to meet the needs and expectations of US-based clients * Develops the US- and NGSC-based I&A organization to support large scale engagements in the US, with potential for several direct reports * Works closely with NGSC teams to ensure delivery of efficient and high-quality deliverables from CSP team and, promote synergy and best practice sharing among resources * Drives change management in client base throughout their PLS engagement * Ensures consistent communication with all stakeholders including internal CSP, clients, PLS US team and other stakeholders through regular updates with focus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes and key events * Identifies and proactively leads, resolves operational issues, and manages number of escalations * Mentors team members to support talent development across the wider team * Operates as a member of the CSP practice leadership team, and support the execution of I&A's global priorities * Provides input into the US strategic and day-to-day processes and initiatives. Supports deployment of PLS' overall functional priorities in the US A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. MBA or other postgraduate degree preferred. Prefer quantitative field, e.g., statistics, economics, software engineering * Overall 10+ years of experience in analytics or commercial operations-related field * Strongly preferred 2+ years of experience in business / consulting environment * Knowledge of US pharma market gained through 5+ years relevant work experience * Past work reflects a track record of performance in commercial operations or analytics capacity * Experience working in a matrixed and geographically dispersed offshoring environment * Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making * Proven problem-solving skills to identify BU stakeholder issues and deliver solutions * Working experience in a global / offshored environment Novartis Pharmaceuticals East Hanover NJ
