Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Director of Special Education/Student Supports coordinates all aspects of Special Education services; provides oversight of site-based and district-wide Special Education classified and certificated personnel; coordinates Student Support services in the areas of Behavioral, Mental/Socio-emotional, and Physical Health, as those services pertain to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP); supervises and evaluates assigned Student Support personnel; works with parents and staff members to resolve district-level parent complaints pertaining to students on an IEP; works in conjunction with site- and district-level administrators to coordinate Special Education services; coordinates site-based academic and behavioral intervention services related to a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS).

Education and Experience: 1. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, five years preferred 2.
A minimum of three years of successful site-level administrative experience 3. Demonstrated achievement as an educational leader with a broad knowledge base in Special Education and Student Supports. 4. California Administrative Service Credential, required 5.
Master's Degree, required 6. Bilingual ability, preferred, but not required District paid medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans are provided for employee and dependents, up to a $12,700 district contribution.
