The Director, Solutions Implementation will be responsible for managing multiple projects associated with the implementation & development of 3rd party software integration within the Brother Machines Group (BMG) Solutions Development Team and manages Brother proprietary technologies used for solutions integration. The Director, Solutions Implementation manages Special Solutions Team (SST) of technical specialists & engineers with the goal of creating innovative customer solutions for our internal B2B & B2C marketing/sales groups.

This position will manage the day-to-day performance of the SST, while also providing strategic direction. With a heavy emphasis on technical prowess & innovative thinking, this position will interface with all levels of the organization to ensure that the unique needs of our customers are met. This role will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical product solutions, responsible for collaborating with and coordinating projects between several stakeholder groups, both domestically & internationally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Technical Project Management Oversee the overall technical project management within the Special Solutions Team (SST) environment, including but not limited to the following areas: Auto-Fulfillment, Managed Print Solutions, Supplies & Accessories, & Brother Cloud Solutions Ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet partner expectations Collaborate effectively with internal & external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to achieve desired results Solutions Development Collaborate with B2B Sales, B2B Marketing, Independent Software Vendor (ISV), and Vertical Solution Provider teams to identify opportunities for new business & customer/partner base expansion Review external partner solution requirements & develop project plans Participate in pre-sales product demonstrations, leveraging technical expertise Provide guidance in scoping projects or developing proposals with partners Expand Solutions Developer Program, working with multiple stakeholders Develop new Application Program Interfaces (APIs) & Software Development Kits (SDKs) Technical Expertise Maintain technical expertise in related technologies, including but not limited to: industry trends, strategies, and competitors products/solutions Collaborate with international engineering team to develop & maintain technical contacts/relationships, attend relevant meetings, and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) working directly with various industry groups, such as:

Mopria, EPEAT, EnergyStar, IEEE, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc. Act as the technical SME and coordinator for the Brother Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) Overall Global Business Development Management Act as the primary technical and project communications conduit between various internal and external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally Oversee the documentation process, responsible for end user documentation for our various products Liaison between various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes Travel Requirements Travel up to 20%, both domestic & international

Education Bachelor's degree in Software Architecture, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field is required Experience Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Printer/Copier industry working in electrical, mechanical, image quality, mono/laser printing technology, managed prints solutions or document management systems is required.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in direct management, including international team management/oversight is required Minimum of 3 years experience in software development is required 3-5 years experience with international team management is required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required Technical knowledge and experience in developing applications Expertise with using a variety of software/programs, including but not limited to: SNMP, HTTP(s), TCP/IP sockets, XML based technologies, IEEE 8021 MIB, JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Python, C++, Server Architectures (MS IIS, Red Hat, Apache, Oracle, SAP, Nginx & IBM), SAAS, and Amazon AWS Excellent Communication Skills Project Management Skills Experience with and development of APIs, SDKs, etc. used by ISVs to create customer integrated solutions with our hardware Proficiency with Page Description Languages (PCL, PostScript, Esc//P), and Printer Job Language (PJL) Ability to work with and direct international teams Ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal & external Preferred Python, Java, and Ruby For highly-motivated, change champions looking for a dynamic team environment with the opportunity to learn and grow professionally, Brother offers a collaborative workplace that continues to innovate award winning products, while maintaining a focused commitment to the communities where we live and work.
