Overview

  • Novant Health is seeking a Director Service Line Development to provide leadership in the areas of service line business development.

  • The Director is responsible for working with the Consumer Strategy and Services team, NVa Executive Team, Market CEO, SVP Business Development & Sales and corporate leaders regarding any strategic business development and implementation projects.

  • Works with Senior Leadership, Consumer Strategy and Services, and applicable service area(s) to develop new services, evaluate new product, service and vendor relationships.

  • The Director will also have a role in change management and implementation of strategic development projects. Collaborates with organizational leaders and manages interdependencies across service lines, facilities, and Novant Health Medical Group to design and provide strategic growth plans, service enhancements and expansion, program development and community engagement initiatives.

  • Holds accountability for service line(s) operational and financial performance along with the physician executive.

Qualifications

Education: B.S. or B.A. required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of successful healthcare planning and development experience or comparable experience. Minimum of five (5) years successful supervisory/management experience.

  • Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific competency assessment. Current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; practice and physician profiling; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations.
