ABB is looking for Director Service Center Mid Central for it's St. Louis, MO location. As an integral member of the Power Grids US Service organization, drive a customer-centric, safety-first service organization to deliver short and medium-term P&L targets for the region. Ensure that each BU's ambitions for profitable growth are met for the region while maximizing overall gain for ABB.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategy & Footprint: In close alignment with the BUs, define and drive implementation of the Service strategy for the Power Grids Service business within the region through the analysis and identification of markets, customer segments, competitive moves, offerings of respective global business, and leadership of the team. Periodically review business model, strategy and footprint (geographic locations) decisions based on changes in market and/or labor conditions.
People Leadership: Build a high performance management team and energize team members, as well as the wider organization, on opportunities to fully realize business potential. Ensure robust and empowered customer facing organization (sales and service delivery) and periodically review opportunities for improvements in customer satisfaction, productivity and utilization. Ensures organization is properly staffed and skilled. Develops the team through training, competency development and coaching.
Operational Performance: Responsible for ensuring the operational performance of the regional unit is at or above budget on a quarterly and annual basis, while adhering to highest HSE standards, against various operational and financial indicators such as response time, customer satisfaction, orders, earnings, cash flow, etc. Executes the service and delivery sales channel strategy within the region.
Change Management: Drive change across the organization towards realizing the vision of "No.1 or 2 in transmission and distribution Service" through the "One Face to Customer" initiative. Identify potential risks and detractors to change and implement mitigating actions. Invests in improving quality of existing Service products and in developing new Service approaches to expand the portfolio in line with the global direction.
Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with all related internal contacts across Local Sales Organization, BUs, Americas Customer Care Center (CUBE) and division Service team members to obtain support and resources as well as to ensure alignment, efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of the business strategy. Utilizes common frameworks and participates in service development project and initiatives. \
Health, Safety & Integrity: Responsible for health and safety of the regional service team. Enforces a service safety and integrity culture throughout the organization.
Bachelor's Degree with 15 plus years of industry related service experience.
Experience in service roles required and leadership of a service team also needed.
Experience in leading and developing high performance team.
Ability to step in to fix/turn-around a troubled customer project if needed.
Collaborative style with an ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
Past business development experience (in Service business a plus).
Executive presence; ability to work with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial, market driven and analytical approach to problem solving.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong commitment to customer service with a "can do" attitude.
Experience applicable to energy industry.
