The Marketing Operations job manages the organization's response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for marketing services. This job supervises professionals who are responsible for marketing RFP engagements and processes and generating customized and persuasive marketing presentations or proposals in response to Requests for Proposals from prospective and existing clients. As a team manager, this job sets goals and objectives for team members and ensures policies and procedures are followed by direct reports.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervises marketing RFP processes from initial receipt through RFP delivery.

  • Creates and manages a full project schedule from RFP release to proposal submission for marketing services.

  • Ensures responses to RFPs are in compliance with client requirements and the organization's marketing standards.

  • Attends RFP meetings with marketing experts internally to ensure the sales positioning meets the objective of the sales strategy aligned to each proposal.

  • Reviews the final response draft to ensure accuracy of content, grammar, style and formatting.

  • Expands relationships with key internal marketing business partners and stakeholders.

  • Ensures database content is updated with responses from recent marketing proposals to improve future RFP submissions.

  • Manages performance of team members through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Build, evolve, and expand how TIAA operates within the Seismic platform, in alignment with the three pillars of our strategy: lead in lifetime income; Delight our clients; and strengthen how we operate.

  • Pair operational platform management experience with leadership and change management across marketing and business users.

  • Lead TIAA line of business Seismic operations function, supporting complex changes for Marketing strategists and business content owners

  • Manage a staff of 3-5 associates

  • Lead/oversee the integration of TIAA marketing templates into Seismic

  • Rollout new Seismic capabilities to TIAA, such as LiveSend, to enable end-users and content owners to obtain customer metrics for content usage

  • Lead publishing process improvements, data automation and other technology integrations related to Seismic usage and utilization

  • Lead how content is organized across templates/collateral, incorporating proper use of metadata and effective publishing of communications

  • Prioritize operating work across staff and Seismic resources

  • Advocate for platform enhancements and enterprise model changes on behalf of marketing and business partners

  • Partner with peers and leaders across the enterprise to assess and incorporate capabilities and best practices across Seismic use cases.

  • Prepare business cases for technology and operational enhancements

Required Qualifications

  • Five years of Financial Services or regulated industry experience

  • Five years of experience juggling multiple projects, staying organized and prioritizing deadlines with multiple internal constituents

  • Five plus years of experience with other content management or sales enablement capabilities (Such as Seismic or similar platforms)

  • Ability to lead and operate within Marketing, Technology, and Operations environments

  • Ability to lead, think, and influence beyond your immediate scope of work and span of control

Base Pay Range: $111,400/yr. - $185,700/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
