Position Overview
The Securities Operations team plays a critical role in the investment life cycle. The team is responsible for supporting all key asset strategies, such as fixed income, middle market bank loans, direct senior, mezzanine, and private equity, equity real estate joint ventures, commercial mortgage loans, and lifetime mortgages. The Director, Securities Operations - Private Assets will perform and manage crucial day-to-day functions of the firm's global, multi-asset class portfolio managed both internally and externally to support Portfolio Management, Investment Solutions, Trading, and Accounting. This role will be responsible for the management and oversight of the operational process related to private equity, private debt, private loans, and all other non-public investment products. The role will ensure accurate processing, settlement, and reporting of transactions, as well as maintaining appropriate deal related compliance documentation. A successful candidate will have an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, maintain strong prioritization skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
Monitor and process daily activity on private assets such as trade settlement, draw downs, pay downs, interest payments, principal payments, PIK loans, skim payments, agented deal transactions, internal transfers.
Keep accurate records of private asset holdings, perform valuation assessments, and ensure documentation is complete and compliant. Coordinate with fund managers and external partners to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Perform daily loan position and cash reconciliations across the private asset book.
Review new deals on the loan management system to ensure accuracy of set up.
Interact and build relationships externally with clients, agents, and custodian banks.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Investment's front, middle, and back office as well as with RGA corporate partners (i.e, IT, Accounting, Structured Finance, etc.).
Continually assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security in the management of private assets. Implement best practices and adopt new technologies where beneficial.
Lead, mentor senior analysts, analysts, and associate analysts, assisting in the development of the team.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

MBA or other relevant post graduate degrees or designations.
Reinsurance or insurance industry knowledge.
Experience using the BlackRock Aladdin trade order management system.
Experience using ClearPar.
Experience using an industry established loan system.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Loan Markets and Credit Agreements: Applies knowledge of financial and accounting principles and terminology related to the loan market and credit agreements and utilizes relevant systems and portals to carry out operations.
Settlements Process: Understands the process of funding and settling trades and other agreements. Ensures accuracy in documentation and works with various parties to carry out the process.

The general pay range for this position is $123k-$140 k base per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
