Purpose:

As the Director of Search Marketing, you will lead our e-commerce brand's search engine marketing and optimization efforts, playing a pivotal role in increasing our online visibility, driving website traffic, and enhancing user engagement to maximize conversions and revenue.

What that looks like day to day:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEM strategies to increase the brand's visibility, performance, and rankings in search engine results.

  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads and Bing Ads.

  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and marketing strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze SEO and SEM performance using tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs, and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and changes in SEO and SEM, including search engine algorithms and best practices.

  • Manage the budget for SEM campaigns and allocate resources effectively.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the SEM/ team.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a unified approach to customer acquisition and retention.

Location Requirements: This position may be based in New York City OR based out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA. In either location, you will work onsite, with work from home flexibility on Fridays.

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years' experience in search engine marketing, SEO, performance-based digital marketing, and marketing strategy.

  • 4+ years' experience managing $10MM+ annual search budgets for a B2C eCommerce brand.

  • Specific experience in optimizing bid strategies, A/B testing, and marketing mix modeling.

  • You are focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint.

  • You can demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify , prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.

  • You have strong analytical skills and expertise, being able to lead and guide testing and optimization in addition to directing broader analytic studies.

  • You understand and are able to speak to optimizing the role of SEM/SEO in the B2C lifecycle.

  • You have strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively in person and in writing.
