Overview

We are looking for a Director, Sales & Partnerships Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to manage all new client relationships from inbound lead, to proposal, all the way through to close. We look for business athletes who are aggressive team players - hungry, nimble and intelligent - with the ability and willingness to close a mix of complex enterprise and more transactional deals. The team player component is critical as you'll be expected to work cross functionally with a number of internal stakeholders to get deals spun up and across the finish line.

Additionally we are looking for an experienced person to own high level relationships at Salesforce as part of this role and our growing partnership with Salesforce. This person should have the ability to lead by example and a past history of closing six to eight figure SAAS deals in enterprise software sales. This role is centered around selling technology and the 'soft' services to implement that software. This role is critical to our success as there will be elements of new business and existing business included.

When existing clients have relationships with Salesforce, or JF clients, are looking to increase their relationship with Salesforce you will own that process. Your leadership will be critical to ensuring alignment between JF and SF to jointly sell our existing clients the new technology in concert with your Salesforce counter parts.

This addition to our team will be key as we continue our global expansion, and increase our already stronghold here in the US. Part of this role will be helping to not only close business, but helping those junior sellers grow and have a clear plan and path to success while working in the marketing partnership. The is a consultative sales role. Entrepreneurial components are necessary for success as this is a business that starts from scratch. Elements of generating new business will also be expected.

Responsibilities

General

  • Confidently present Jellyfish to potential clients through face to face meetings, phone calls, and emails

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required

  • Understanding of Digital Marketing and it's application/goals/KPI's to be realized through SFMC applications are critical

  • Understanding Jellyfish's offering as a Digital Partner are also key as you'll look to up/cross sell SFMC customers to more traditional Jellyfish Digital Partner services

  • Manage the sale process from lead generation through to hand off from the Salesforce team

  • Leverage existing network of brand and agency contacts to help grow the SFMC partnership business at Jellyfish

  • Be able to publicly speak about interconnectivity of data at events

  • 'Walk the halls' of Salesforce to increase the JF presence, and ensure familiarity across Salesforce AE's, Directors, VP's and RVP's

  • Be comfortable presenting to C-level executives for businesses who spend in excess of $10-25MM annually in media through varying platforms, and understand the sales cylce of SAAS and Supporting services across SFMC

  • Accurately log all communication, actions & sales process milestones within relevant systems and tools

  • Demonstrate Measurable success through achievable KPI's

  • Create and take full accountability for all proposals and agreements

  • Establish client's business & commercial objectives & present appropriate solutions

  • Nurture positive and collaborative working relationships with clients through proficient business practices and exemplary standards

  • Identify commercial opportunities and implement innovations with the help of supporting Jellyfish team members working specifically on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud partnership

  • Manage a healthy book of business with autonomy and against a defined P&L

  • Take initial conversations with customers, create and understand problem statement, develop a plan of action, architect solution, and present articulately via verbal and visual aides

Contract Management

  • Drafting and delivery of all contracts related to SFMC tech and service sales

  • Ensure correct fees, costs, and terms are presented within all agreements

  • Lead conversations regarding contract changes/re-scopes

  • Work with relevant Department Heads to ensure contracts are always up to date

Strategic Outbound Requirements

  • Build and maintain a list of contacts in Salesforce

  • Attend relevant technology events

  • Be able to speak at relevant technology events

  • Build strong relationships with key team members within technology partners such as Google, Salesforce, Oracle, IBM, and consulting firms

  • Stay abreast of industry tech developments and trends

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • Have in-depth working knowledge of digital marketing technologies.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of:

  • Google Marketing Platform (formerly DoubleClick: DBM, DS, DCM and Analytics 360)

  • Google Analytics: Standard and 360

  • 360 Suite Products

  • Understand the MarTech & AdTech Landscape (Adobe, Google, Facebook, Oracle, etc.)

  • Email Marketing

  • Ability to deliver a top-level product overview/demonstration of Google Marketing Platform

The Sr. Director works closely with the Technical Solutions Team to win high-value Direct/In-Direct sales opportunities. The Sr. Director is the recognized commercial/sales expert within the sales team for all international mobile activities. This is a hands-on, results orientated role.
