Join us as the Director of Sales + Marketing | Washington Marriott Capitol Hill and be a part of a collaborative team of hospitality pros who are dedicated to curating and delivering hotel experiences as unique as the city they call home.

As a hotel, we offer a lot of different services - from catering to rooms to entertainment to banquets, we do it all! And we need someone to help us get the word out. As the Director of Sales + Marketing, you'll oversee all sales functions. You'll constantly develop strategies to solicit new and retain existing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES + AUTHORITIES:

Still your cup of tea? Here are just a few of the tasks you'll be completing on a daily basis:

• Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff.

• Interview, hire and train all sales associates.

• Compile and direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the sales department.

• Conduct research on the hospitality industry to develop new marketing strategies.

• Develop and conduct presentations to prospective clients.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree or above in business, management, public relations, advertising, sales, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or management will be essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Strong motivational and leadership skills.

• Excellent creative skills.

• Ability to conduct market research will be essential.

• Strategic planning skills.
