Director -Sales Development

Software AG is looking for a fun and passionate frontline Sales Development leader to develop and lead our Americas Development Representative Team. This role is imperative to the growth and development of our SDRs as we look to them as the future talent of our company. Our SDR's act as a lethal pipeline generating team aligned with our full-cycle sellers, so your contributions will result in the personal and professional growth of your people, the North American sales organization, and Software AG as a whole.

How you'll contribute:

  • Serve as an inspiring coach and mentor to a team of 8 SDRs by providing continuous coaching to increase individual and team effectiveness & productivity

  • Working closely with your people to ensure each rep is consistently meeting and overachieving their quota through candid feedback, weekly 1:1 meeting, developing trusting relationships with them, and understanding the challenges they face on a daily basis

  • Partner with the other SDR Managers and your Sales Development Director by working together as liaisons between marketing and sales to help with the planning, execution, and follow-up of campaigns.

  • By acting as a subject matter expert on the craft of sales, prospecting, our customers, and helping train our new and existing SDRs on our process, you'll be an integral part of driving year over year growth and propelling Software AG forward.

  • Attract, hire, train, and retain top-tier sales talent

You'll stand out with:

  • 1+ years of experience building and managing a sales development or sales team

  • Proven successful experience as a sales representative and/or sales manager, consistently meeting and exceeding targets

  • Proven record of defining, tracking, and managing daily, weekly, and monthly activities/metrics of your team

  • A demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Ability, knowledge, and hunger to step in and coach on a daily basis: inclusive of tactical management of reps and shadowing/coaching of calls & written outreach

  • Proven knowledge of new & emerging prospecting trends

  • Background of hiring, training, retaining, and enabling reps for success, with strong performance management skills

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, motivating, and people management skills
