General Purpose:

The Director, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance is responsible for leading enterprise IT risk management and compliance processes. This position is responsible for enterprise wide IT governance and risk activities including the evolution, growth, and daily management of the IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance framework. This individual will serve as the IT compliance subject matter expert to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with IT Risk Management principles including industry leading practices, industry frameworks, and process flows

  • Management of compliance functions including reporting on gaps, variances, and the assessment and disposition of technology risks

  • Ability to proactively document and understand key IT controls across IT operational and information security domains

  • Experience with management of large scale remediation plans and processes including the tracking of noted exceptions and variances

  • Knowledge of IT audit principles including control frameworks, audit testing techniques, documentation, and root cause analysis

  • Ability to create, manage, and evolve processes that enable the rapid evaluation and implementation of governance and control frameworks to manage the risk of emerging enterprise technologies (e.g. cloud services)

  • The ability to proactively support various IT obligations across Sarbanes Oxley, Internal Audit, FFIEC/FDIC, ISO 20000, ITIL, and related third parties and regulatory agencies

Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 8-10 years of direct experience in IT risk management, internal audit, project management, IT Governance, or information security required
  • 5 years of experience in a direct personnel management role with responsibility for managing job performance, technical skills development, and career management required
  • 2 years' experience managing business budgets, plans, and investment strategies required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct financial services industry experience in consulting, Big 4, or IT service management strongly preferred.

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Relevant certifications such as CRISC, CGEIT, CISA, strongly preferred

The majority of the Junior Risk Associate's time is spent authenticating sensitive business and bank account data for Paymode-X business customers by applying investigative and analytical techniques to mitigate risk and fraud. This position is located in our Portsmouth, NH or South Portland, ME office. Responsibilities: * Review high risk account documentation; ensuring information is complete and accurate, and work with customers (via phone, email, web) to obtain missing information * Analyze documents for suspicious discrepancies and counterfeit instruments * Utilize web research and data tools to validate and investigate discrepancies in new customer information to mitigate risk * Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and anti-fraud practices by adhering to required policies and procedures. * Communicate with financial institutions to verify account information * Escalate suspicious high risk activity to management * Interact with various levels of Management to clarify requirements and collaborate on process improvements * Develop working relationships with key business partners across the firm * Assist with special projects as assigned Required Skills: * Strong communication (verbal/written) and customer service skills * Detail oriented, organized and able to work well under pressure with a sense of urgency * Solid computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office software * Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills * Experience working in a AML, Fraud, KYC Due Diligence, on-boarding commercial clients, reviewing various business documentation highly preferred * Experience with LexisNexis preferred * High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Accounting, Business, or similar course of study preferred.
