Summary of Role:

This position reports to the Vice President of the RF Business Unit and will be responsible for the P&L and growth of GlobalFoundries' Silicon Germanium (SiGe) High Performance and power Amplifier process technologies. The right applicant will have cradle-to-grave responsibility for the entire SiGe business addressing a broad range of markets including wireless communications, cellular infrastructure, optical communications, automotive RADAR & LIDAR. Key activities will include the definition of new processes with associated business justification, business development, revenue execution/forecasting and eventual end-of-life activities. A core requirement for this individual is the ability to translate RF market requirements (MRD) into process technology requirements (PRD) as a deliverable to our technology development organization. This includes device requirements, PDK and design flow requirements, IP requirements and competitive benchmarking needs. This individual will work with the technology development, design enablement, finance, manufacturing, business development and sales teams to develop the necessary product offering inputs for a successful approval exit. This role will be responsible for establishing the offering business case and by working closely with business development, sales and execution/operations, drive the business to generate profitable revenue for the BU.

This position will be based in Santa Clara, CA or Burlington, VT, but other work locations considered for the right candidate.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • P&L ownership of the entire GlobalFoundries Silicon Germanium business

  • Technology roadmap ownership and portfolio management

  • Interact with customers and drive profitable revenue growth

  • PRD ownership and handoff to development team

  • Product level pricing strategy recommendation to finance

  • Product council proposal ownership through signoff

  • Sales kit development, sales team training and offering collateral creation/development

  • Marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategy in partnership with business development team

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Electrical Engineering, Technology or Related Discipline

  • 10 or More Years of Relevant Work Experience

  • Travel Requirements:
    25% of Travel

  • Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and or PhD from an Accredited College and or University in Electrical Engineering, Technology or Related Discipline

  • MBA preferred

  • RF Systems/Circuit background preferred

Distinguishing Characteristics This single position classification provides managerial oversight of the O&M Agreement between VTA and BART. The Program Manager - BART Silicon Valley Extension serves as the primary liaison between VTA and BART as related to administration of the O&M Agreement. The incumbent works closely with VTA staff in other departments and provides functional oversight of their activities related to the BART Silicon Valley Extension Program (BSV). This position requires substantial judgment and initiative in order to anticipate issues and resolve complex problems as they arise. This class is distinguished from other managerial classifications in that it is focused on administration of the O&M Agreement. Classification Bargaining Unit: Non-represented Essential Job Functions Typical Tasks * Selects, supervises, trains, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines staff; * Monitors and reports on BART's compliance with its O&M commitments to VTA; * Maintains integrated project and maintenance activity schedules to ensure efficient utilization of VTA resources; * Coordinates with staff liaisons to monitor and ensure VTA's compliance with its O&M commitments to BART; * Negotiates amendments to the O&M Agreement on behalf of VTA; executes amendments within delegated signature authority; * Develops and implements reporting processes for internal stakeholders to monitor performance of BSV assets and to address issues in a timely manner; * Serves as the primary point of contact with BART, the City of San Jose, the City of Milpitas, and other jurisdictions and agencies to communicate issues and coordinate easement processes; * Develops and implements appropriate controls, policies, and procedures related to Measure B funding; * Coordinates permitting process for access to VTA property along the BSV corridor; * Collaborates with VTA executive staff to forecast, plan, and track labor and financial resources required for the BSV Program; * Develops short and long term capital reinvestment plans; * Establishes program cost control metrics; collects and analyzes data from multiple sources; * Prepares, reviews, and approves detailed correspondence and reports; * Assists in the development of VTA's long range strategic plans; * Represents VTA before the Board of Directors, public groups, and private sector organizations as required; * Ensures compliance with VTA policies and procedures regarding equal employment opportunity and discrimination and harassment prevention; * Develops and establishes procedures and implements policies; * Performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Employment Standards Sufficient training, education, and experience to demonstrate possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
