Job Overview:

The Director of Replenishment is in charge of driving the FOB's replenishment business with the goal of maximizing sales, inventory, and bottom line profitability; through optimal service level approach. Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will:

Essential Functions:

  • The Director must be cognizant of the Replenishment Team's overall strategy as well as collaborate with merchant partners on the FOB's strategy. The role includes partnering cross functionally with stake holders in Merchandise Planning; and involves creating a partnership with a GBM and the DPM team.

  • The Director will change system policies to optimize replenishment inventory to Macy's stores and Macys.com fulfillment centers. The director will collaborate with members of the Data Science team to optimize system usage and increase inventory efficiency and forecast accuracy.

  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3-5 years planning/forecasting experience, preferably in e-commerce or retail

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills including knowledge and experience with Inventory and Demand Planning systems

  • Experience working across multiple organizational boundaries.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence

Mathematical Skills

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills.

Reasoning Ability

  • Creative problem solver.

  • Ability to multitask and work cross functionally with multiple business partners.

Physical Demands

  • This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

  • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.

  • Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

  • May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.

Other Skills

  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables

Work Hours

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
