Position Description:

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Alternative Investment Funds accounting team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional accounting and administration servicing for our clients' assigned hedge and private equity funds.

The Reconciliation Director (the "Director") is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and support of premium reconciliation services of the centralized reconciliation team. The Director's responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the vision, goals and policies of the unit. The Director has operational ownership and leadership for a bundle of service relationships and will be expected to work with the unit's Senior Operations Officers, Accounting and Administration Directors, the SEI Solutions Team, other SEI market units, external clients, auditors and vendors to coordinate, facilitate and execute on the delivery of a cost-focused, efficient, standardized and predictable service to the respective marketplace.

What you'll do:

Client Management

' Understand, communicate and resolve unique client issues in tandem with SEI Relationship and Accounting Teams.

' Ensure the overall quality and delivery of reconciliation services in accordance with the unit's service model.

' Serve as senior technical and operational resource for internal and external inquiries.

Technical Consulting

' Identify, interpret, apply and communicate accounting and industry rules and regulations.

' Create, communicate, monitor and reinforce departmental vision, goals and objectives.

' Promote integration of Reconciliation/Accounting Department with other SEI lines of business.

' Develop and communicate goals and objectives for the team, and formulate specific action plans.

' Periodically review prioritization of team goals and objectives and monitor progress regularly.

Operational Oversight

' Ensure premier client service that meets or exceeds client expectations

' Monitor all current service and quality indicators and establish related goals

' Provide daily oversight and review of significant portfolio level threshold deviations

' Manage staff resources to ensure proper client coverage and service

' Set departmental policies and procedures related to the operational control environment

' Monitor and oversee third party vendor performance as it relates to the daily operations

' Work closely with other Departments on unique issues

' Direct, lead and orchestrate the pace and process of change to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Departmental Leadership

' Create, communicate, monitor and reinforce departmental vision, goals and objectives

' Assist with the ongoing development of service capabilities for the alternative investment product offering in pace with industry demands

' Actively participate in unit's weekly senior management meetings and initiatives

' Participate in management skills training and development of staff

' Set and enforce departmental policies

Sales Support

' Write and coordinate reconciliation related responses to RFP's and RFI's

' Participate in site visits and presentations to prospective clients

What you bring to the table:

' BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience

' MBA or MS Accounting/Business/Finance - advanced degree preferred

' 8+ years of portfolio accounting and/or reconciliation experience

' 5 years supervisory or management experience preferred

' Knowledge of alternative investment products and structures, operational experience a plus

' Thorough knowledge of investment accounting and reconciliation in a multi-currency environment

' Ability to allocate time and resources appropriately to complete projects and meet deadlines

' Ability to lead and foster synergized team

' Attention-to-detail to ensure that all deliverables consistently meet the highest standard of quality and accuracy

' Strong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with internal and external clients and other service providers.

' Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)

' Knowledge and expertise of the Advent Geneva, FIS InvestOne, Fiserv Frontier systems

As an operations analyst, you will act as an intermediary between the funds and the fund accountant teams to ensure the reconciliation of custodial and prime broker accounts are accurate. What you'll do: * In the reconciliation function, you will be working closely with Fund Accounting and Portfolio Accounting teams to understand the client's portfolio and fund structure as well as to ensure all required deliverables are complete. To do this, you will perform various types of reconciliations to ensure that data is accurate and client service expectations are met. * As the record keeper for the fund, you will be responsible for collecting and maintaining security pricing details in various formats from the third party vendors as well as broker quotes. Additionally, you will manage the documentation of processes and procedures relating to individual client needs. * You will communicate with appropriate internal teams or client teams to resolve open issues and questions, reaching out to internal technology support and vendor support when necessary to resolve any production issues or system support queries. * We want you to succeed and look for future solutions!
