Director, Real Estate - Northeast

Boingo is the leading indoor wireless solution provider focused on acquiring and retaining big venues with large audiences through multi-year contracts. The Director will be responsible for negotiating and executing contracts with major US Wireless carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint) including DAS, Small Cells, Roaming, and Towers.

With 5G quickly becoming the new standard, the wireless business is poised to experience continued significant growth as more and more mobile data is consumed in and around airports, stadiums, arenas, office buildings, hospitals and military bases. Boingo is experiencing strong demand for our services, but the market is dynamic and incredibly competitive; adaptability, agility, and speed to market are essential. This role may be work-from-home, location in Northeast is flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Establish presence in the Northeast wireless community as key Boingo team member responsible for this line of business through in person meetings with key customers within each carrier in the first 180 days.

  • Market existing networks to major wireless carriers, negotiate business terms, and see projects through to completion

  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Engineering and Operations to drive business improvements to align with carrier 5G roadmaps, and execute upon contracts accordingly

  • Responsible for stewarding deals through all facets of the sales cycle and contract process for new and existing DAS/Small Cell networks including coordinating with cross-functional business units

  • Utilize internal tools to track and maintain accurate data for pipeline, forecasts and closed deals

  • Ownership of weekly and monthly reporting to new and existing carrier customers

  • Self-motivated to maintain regular contact with customers, management and peers coupled with time management skills to monitor transactions through completion

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of business development, consulting, and/or legal experience preferably in the technology, telecom, or commercial real estate, with proven record in negotiating agreements from start to finish

  • Proven track record of closing large deals (>$5M) and regularly meeting or exceeding quota

  • Ability to manage and forecast a pipeline of 100+ opportunities.

  • Ability to negotiate and execute contracts by leveraging cross-functional resources

  • Strong understanding of wireless ecosystem and 5G technologies including mmWave, CBRS, LTE, and Wi-Fi

  • Proficient working knowledge of the telecommunications industry & landscape

  • Capacity to work independently and adapt to Boingo's fast-paced and dynamic culture

  • Possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and self-management driven by results.

  • Willingness to up to 25% of the time based on standard 40-hour work week.
