As Bluebeam's Director, Quality Engineering, you will manage a globally distributed QE organization and be responsible for all the quality efforts in the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Own the overall quality of all software products produced at Bluebeam.

  • Coordinate the establishment and execution of all quality processes, strategies, and vision.

  • Drive continual improvements to the efficiency and flexibility of current software development practices across the company.

  • Build and own QA roadmap for tools/frameworks for QA processes.

  • Provide technical leadership to both Dev and QA teams.

  • Manage, train, and develop members of the Quality Assurance team, overseeing their day-to-day responsibilities and setting overall goals for department.

  • Increase confidence in each release with data that shows an overall measurement of application quality.

  • Ensure that sprint-based deliverables and application releases are completed, and employees/ contractors are working in compliance with standards and best practices.

  • Mentor and manage QA staff members - helping us grow the next generation of leaders.

  • Testing smart and implementing the right balance of testing with manual and automated test coverage.

  • Conduct data and PII audits as required, support project teams from a regulatory and audit standpoint.

  • Aggressively identify and implement automation to reduce manual testing activities and improve overall test coverage.

  • Select applications and tooling used by the QA team.

About You

  • 5+ years experience leading/managing complex organizations.

  • 10+ years experience within the QA environment

  • 8+ years experience in managing offshore and multi-geographic teams.

  • Previous experience in designing and developing testing and test automation frameworks across a portfolio of products.

  • Knowledge of modern programming languages, OO and Service Oriented Architecture.

  • Advanced knowledge of large scale agile based development processes

  • Experience leading direct teams of 30 + technology professionals.

  • Demonstrated success in planning, managing, and implementing large-scale technology imperatives.

  • Capable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale

  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and put in appropriate terms for key stakeholders and customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to present to executives and senior members of the technical teams.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam's Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Additionally, Bluebeam provides best in class benefits, with 100% employee covered health and welfare benefits and paid time off. Bluebeam is a growing company with many opportunities. Base salary range for this position is $177,000 - $221,800
