The Director, Quality and Regulatory Management in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Division is responsible to coordinate and support efforts essential to establishing, assessing, improving, and maintaining standards for laboratory quality assurance, safety, licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance, of clinical operations for the Division. The Director will also:

  • Direct, plan, execute, analysis and evaluate complex projects related to regulatory accreditation agencies for clinical operations, information technology, education, and other related areas within the Division.

  • Ensure current regulatory compliance practices of the laboratory, including administrative and management related activities.

  • Will serve as the Quality and Regulatory liaison with all patient care areas and other Divisions across the institution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages, Monitors and Maintains Regulatory Quality and Compliance

  • Clinical Operations Regulatory Management

  • Facilitates Quality Improvement

  • General Administration

  • Education and Training

REQUIREMENTS

  • A background as a Medical Technologist (or other Allied Health field) and ASCP certification is highly preferred;

  • Four years management in a clinical laboratory environment with clinical laboratory management activities;

  • Eight years of operations/business management experience in healthcare;

  • Broad understanding of quality performance indicators, processes and workflows;

  • Experience in a clinical laboratory environment with previous regulatory experience is preferred;

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.
