POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Director of QC Compliance & Accreditation is responsible for managing the global implementation of the QC policies and accreditation programs (ISO17025). Assures systems and all Herbalife laboratories are in compliance with cGMP and current regulations.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Oversee Quality Control global audit program (GMP and ISO17025) including managing audit schedules, CAPA (corrective action(s)/preventive action(s)) tracking and development, and managing project related activities.

  • Lead laboratory's audit preparation activities, accompanies inspectors, and completes reports.

  • Conduct internal audits and manages the status of on-going quality improvement programs.

  • Lead 3rd party Certification/Accreditation for all of Herbalife labs 3rd Party labs.

  • Develop QC Compliance & Accreditation Master Plan for quality initiatives that clearly define scope, assumptions, risks and implementation plan including resource needs, timeline and communication structure.

  • Develop and maintain all policies and procedures of the QC Compliance & Accreditation Program.

  • Ensure that all procedures and activities performed within the distribution centers are cGMP compliant to 21 CFR Part 110 and Part 111.

  • Lead the development of innovative systems and controls to optimize laboratories while assuring compliance with company's quality standards

  • Oversee Post Market Surveillance testing program, including documenting and trending data/findings; work with cross-functional team to determine root cause and establish appropriate CAPAs.

  • Develop and maintain reports to inform stakeholders and management on quality trending by manufacturer/supplier, formula and SKUs.

  • Assist in the identification and achievement of Herbalife Quality KPI's through appropriate CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop training plan for QC Compliance and Accreditation team.

  • Develop and maintain a system that assures all certificates of analyses are reviewed against required finished product specifications as written in Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).

  • Perform and assist in investigations to identify root cause and support CAPA implementation as needed.

  • Prepare monthly reports as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Knowledge of cGMP's

  • Knowledge of ISO17025

  • Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 110/111

  • Knowledge of Pharmacopoeias (US, Ph.Eur, China)

  • Knowledge of ICH guidelines

Experience:

  • 10 years in a FDA-regulated industry

  • Laboratory Management

  • Validation of analytical methods

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, life sciences or other technical field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems

  • Experience in Quality by Design

  • Expert knowledge in CAPA, deviation handling & non-conformance

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, life sciences or other technical field

About our Benefits Compliance and Compensation Manager Position Our Benefits Compliance and Compensation Manager supports the development of programs and policies that enhance recruitment, engagement and retention initiatives. The position devotes 80% of the time to benefit plan administration and serves as the primary educational / resolution contact for employees and affiliated divisions. The position facilitates the delivery and administration of the performance management system and supports the development of competitive total rewards program. Position Responsibilities include the following: Benefits Administration: 80% * Administers Section 125 employee benefit plans, voluntary benefit programs, retirement plan, leave policies and workers' compensation. * Serves as primary customer service contact for eligibility, enrollment, member education and resolution on benefit programs. * Assists in the development of plan communications and open enrollment materials and ensures information is distributed timely for new hires and OE. * Participates in health care renewal meetings and prepares census and other data submission requirements. * Schedules and conducts new hire orientations and administers all plan enrollments/changes for OE and new hires. * Partners with vendor to set-up HRIS benefit system to maintain required elections, acknowledgements and payroll-related benefit deductions. * Maintains multiple vendor enrollment databases. * Reviews, audits and processes weekly / monthly invoices and maintains accurate / timely reporting of administrative and claim expenses. * Prepares various reports to assist with annual health & welfare budgeting. * Ensures compliance with COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA, ACA, ADA, FMLA and required regulatory notices involving federal and multi-state research. * Assists in the review of SBC, SPD and SMM and associated benefit and retirement plan documents and ensures timely member and divisional notification. * Partners with 3rd party COBRA vendor to provide updated annual benefit information and communicates member enrollment changes. * Partners with vendors to schedule annual enrollment meetings, annual health fair and periodic educational seminars / webinars to promote member education. * Supports the preparation and audit of annual 5500 plan filings and obtains vendor schedules to achieve submission timelines to include data requests for annual plan testing. * Conducts ongoing benefit compliance reviews of member enrollment eligibility and plan administration. * Partners with HR staff to prepare and maintain policy manual and completes benefit surveys to analyze trends and assist in the development of competitive policies. * Maintains current working knowledge of ACA and is responsible for the annual completion of 1094 and 1095 filings. * Assists in managing company substance abuse program and workers' compensation program. * Responsible for workers' compensation claims administration and serves as a member of the Safety Committee. Compensation Administration: 20% * Participates in compensation surveys to identify market trends and evaluate best practices. * Conducts job matching selecting external market data and internal market evaluations. * Participates in the development, review, implementation of compensation programs and policies. * Maintains FLSA compliant labor classifications, job evaluations and assists in the review of employment offers. * Ensure compensation policies and practices comply with federal and state regulatory requirements. * Partners with management to maintain current position descriptions and ADA compliance. * Assists in the evaluation and development of the performance management system. * Responsible for the system set-up and maintenance of the performance management system. * Partners with payroll for salary administration actions and prepares various reports for compensation budgeting. * Assists in the development of employee recognition programs / systems. * Assist in document creation for severance agreements, contracts, etc. * Prepares reports / analyses of compensation and employment trends. * Participates in special projects or other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * BS Human Resources Degree or related experience. * 5+ years focus on health and welfare plan administration / implementation with demonstrated understanding of HR benefit concepts, practices and procedures. * Preferred knowledge of compensation program design, developing career band levels and performance management systems. * Preferred experience administering annual performance management processes. * Knowledge on current legislation affecting compensation and benefits and proficient in researching federal / state regulations. * Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information. * Knows how to effectively communicate, influence and build effective working relationships. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent math, research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. * Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products with advanced Excel. * Preferred working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for the development of documents. * Planning organizational and project management skills required to implement benefits and compensation systems * Stellar proofreading and editing skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. * Performs well under minimal supervision and is able to manage complex issues. * Strong customer service orientation. * Proven ability to learn quickly and is tech savvy and enjoys research. * Advanced level knowledge and skills required for the position. * HRCI or SHRM accreditation highly desired.
