License and Certification Qualifications: Must be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
Five years of leadership, administrative, or data governance experience required. Two years of experience in a leadership position in the information technology field or previous experience implementing master data governance preferred.
Strong leadership and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating with senior business leaders; excellent organization and human relations skills; ability to establish and foster progressive working relationships with stakeholders and staff to deliver a consistent approach to the planning and execution of business process-driven projects of varying sizes and degrees of complexity; ability to conceptualize abstract models/issues and deliver effective solutions to stakeholders; ability to think strategically with appropriate level of detail analysis to plan and execute; ability to execute continuous quality improvements; experience with all facets of data management including data architecture and modeling, data quality, data warehousing, business intelligence, and metadata management; knowledge of data quality and governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection; and experience with master data management/integration elements preferred.
Define and implement enterprise data management strategies and management processes to effectively govern enterprise data including the establishment of enterprise data governance, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the implementation of clearly defined data management definitions.
1.Ensure best practices are established and maintained for all key business intelligence and data management procedures, architecture, and standards.
2.Facilitate master data governance for company initiatives and business transformation programs to drive innovation and customer needs, while improving operational performance.
3.Direct and follow established policies, processes, and procedures for the organization and promote data governance best practices across the district.
4.Oversee the implementation of a new information architecture, workflow, and requirements to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
5.Track and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of key project deliverables and serve as the point of escalation for team members when there are roadblocks, issues, risks that cannot be resolved without intervention.
6.Manage the quality improvement processes of the information architecture to accelerate business innovation and agility with data integrity.
7.Ensure the risk and compliance data meets following characteristics, including but not limited to: accuracy, validity, reliability, timeliness, relevance, and completeness.
8.Lead efforts to define data policies, standards, and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs.
9.On-board business functions within the Data Governance platform with the purpose of governing critical information assets.
10. Monitor data quality, identify data quality issues, oversee remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies.
11. Support the Chief Data Officer in the planning and development of enterprise data governance strategy in support of the district's mission, goals, and objectives.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
